Just the piece I needed!

Pros: Excelent HDMI Image. Right amount of connections. Sharp, bright images. Sound is better than regular TV. Looks simple, yet elegant.

Cons: All connections are on the back, so not sure how difficult to set it on the wall. Default setups are not good and navigation takes a little reading/learning. Might need to switch video settings depending on the video source (HD/DVD, Cable/Satellite, Video games)

After many weeks of internet research and visits to the local electronic store to compare image quality and features (I was working on tight budget) I selected the Panasonic 42PX75U over brands like LG, Vizio, Samsung... even the Sharp fell short. My guess is because of the blacks, this TV makes a great job managing blacks which makes everything come to life.

I'm a Star Wars fan so I loaded Episode 3 in an upconvert DVD HDMI player (with a HDMI cable of course) and I almost came to tears. It was like watching the movie for the first time; the details, the colors, everything was taken to a new level of visual entertainment.

This TV is not for watching regular Cable/Satellite, it just look the same as a CT TV, that is unless you have access to HD, but that was not part of my selection criteria. This Plasma was just the piece I needed to watch my favorites DVDs and play video games (Image Retention is overrated)!
