MapSend Streets & Destinations USA
2 of 2 Yahoo! Users found this review helpfulPros: Relatively easy to use.
Cons: Way out of date!
The good news is that the program is pretty easy to use. It works pretty much the way you would expect. But, this product is so far out of date that in my case it is useless! My neighborhood has been here 10 years, SC Highway 22 (AKA Conway Bypass) near Myrtle Beach, SC has been around almost 5 years. Neither show up on the map. Points of intrerest are as out of date as roads. What's more, this is the only map software for the USA compatible with the SportTrak series. According to Thales product support (talked to on 4/07/05) there are no plans to update this software to reflect current roads. I was told to return my Magellan SportTrak Map, and buy the next higher (non-SportTrak) model, and buy MapSend Streets Direct Route SW which they claimed to be current. Technical support responded quickly after I left my phone number but the program is basically orphaned and so is the SportTrak series which they still sell.
If you want accurate info (which is why I got the GPS in the first place) then you should forget this software!!!!
