disappointing at best

Cons: lack of quality control
this is my first, and will be the only and last experience with acers. the seeming disregard for quality makes this laptop a loser. I would give it 0 stars but yahoo doesn't have that. I have friends who own this model and most of them think it's terrible. it usually doesn't work properly unless you shut it down every single day. What is this, the stone age? i would absolutely not recommend this to anybody unless you're into notoriously low quality and bad customer service (never dealt with them but i hear it's absolutely terrible, funny how that matches the quality of their products.) ...

Creates constant oversights. Demands too much supervision. Useless features that only work when not needed. Costs too much. Demands too much maintenance to keep it running. If you are willing to be stuck to your computer 24/7, go ahead and buy this giant calculator. ...

the epitome of horrible computers

Cons: everything
the computer will start disintegrating within the first hour and a half of normal use. If you want it to last for more than 24 hours, you need to have it suspended in 20 pounds of gelatin and carry it around in an armored truck. Just kidding.
But trust me on this one. DO NOT EVER BUY ACER PRODUCTS BECAUSE THIS IS THE BEST THEY CAN DO. ... -

This is the slowest, most frustrating and the most expensive computer that I have ever owned. the processor is terrible, the fan is terrible, the wireless adapter is terrible and everything about it is a disaster. If you're an acer employee reading this, you better fix it because you just lost a customer. It's so terrible it's not sold in major retail stores!!! I mean the company deals directly with a school. If you're considering buying this, look somewhere else because if you need a computer to function properly every time you turn it on, this computer will land you a spot in anger management. ...

Cons: heavy, and it's an acer.
When you get this computer, here are some things you can expect on this computer: frequent breakdowns, AC adapter and left side getting extremely hot, always freezing, intolerably slow processor, low quality piece of junk. If you don't mind your computer breaking down all the time, getting intolerably hot, and not working the way it's meant to, go ahead and buy one. If you need a computer that is light, functional, and durable, buy something else.
It's not worth the money, the big screen or the frustration you will face with this computer. Save yourself a couple trips to the psychiatrist and buy something else. ... -

AVOID THIS MANUFACTURER LIKE THE PLAGUE

This is the worst computer I have seen on the face of this planet. The left side gets hot, sometimes untouchable, the fan is loud and annoying, and breakdowns are a rule rather than the exception. Buy this laptop only if you don't mind computers break down all the time, get hot and make annoying sounds at three o'clock in the morning. If you need a computer that works every time you hit the power button, look somewhere else. I think sony or gateway work better. And this computer is too heavy for those business travelers who have to carry a laptop computer, briefcase and four binders full of presentation material and run across the airport to catch a plane, and even for people who need to carry computers all the time. Overall, I would give this particular product zero stars but that's not an option. ...

Acers in general don't last more than two years. Their values go down dramatically,and with normal use, your computer will be so poor in every category that you'll have to trade it in for a new computer.
These computers aren't built to last-rather, they're built to fall apart as soon as possible so that acer corporate can rake in more money in revenues. Customers tend to give second chances when it comes to computers. ...
