It's a Camera With a Phone
1 of 1 Yahoo! Users found this review helpfulPros: Cybershot Image Processor, UMTS, Xenon Flash, Excelent Camera Controls
Cons: No Optical zoom, Medium/Small Screen, QCIF Video recording
This is one of the best Camera phones on the market. There are plenty of manual camera controls and the picture quality is amazing. The ergonomics of the camera function is very user friendly. The K800i benefits greatly from its Cybershot Image Processor. Though there is no optical zoom, only digital zoom like there is on the Nokia N93/93i (3x). But the Xenon flash makes up for that. It is very bright though not as bright as a stand-alone camera, though sufficient. The video recording leaves much to be desired recording only in QCIF res.
The phone has a "smallish" screen (2.0") but has a nice QVGA resolution (240x320) and supports 262k colors. SE has never done very well with the keypads on its phones and the K800i is no exception. The keypad is cramped though the navigation joystick is very responsive. The tri-band, dual UMTS works excellent with Cingular. Surfing online is a pleasure with Opera Mini, the web pages load quick and text and images are very crisp. The Media player is very functional and easy to use. The three preloaded games are very entertaining and more can be downloaded from Sony Ericsson's site for free. A free firmware update is available right on the phone. Though the call quality is excellent, the speaker could be a little louder and dedicated Start/End call buttons would be nice, but they are just minor design flaws. ...
Overall, I Love this phone. Not just for the camera, but it's user friendly and feature rich. It is the best phone ever!
Amazing Laptop
Pros: Fast 2.2GHz Processor, Large Bright Screen
Cons: Thick and Heavy, Low onboard RAM
The Gateway MX7120 is the best notebook I have ever owned! My previous notebook had a 1.89GHz Intel P4 Mobile, so I was skeptical about the processor on this Gateway being that is a mobile Athlon 64. But now I have no doubt that the performance is amazing. This notebook is a little on the hefty side weighing in at 7.5 pounds, and 1.6 in. thick. Though Gateway does a great job of jam-pakcing it with great features. The 15.4" WXGA+ Ultra-bright widescreen is beautiful. It would have been nice to see 1024 MB/1GB of built in RAM instead of 512MB, but Gateway does a good job of keeping one of the slots open to expand the RAM. It is very hard to find a "Good" laptop with a 100GB hardrive under $1000, but kudos to Gateway for making that posible. Battery life is not bad with the included battery but getting an extra, larger battery is not a bad idea. With three large vents the computer stay very cool. The internal fans are also whisper quiet. Now onto the extra frills. I love the fact that there is a CF card reader onboard because it is great to have the luxuries of a built in desktop card reader on a laptop. The built in speakers are very good compared to other laptop computers. They are clear and crisp. The built in volume and internet controls next to the power button are very tacktile and responsive. The music note between the volume buttons is an actual button that opens Windows Media Player! It is definately a very cool touch.
I would recomend this laptop to anyone who wants a power house with lots of extras and media functions. I would definately by this laptop again! :) ...
