crackheads/ nintendo cronies
anyone who gave a good review for this is one of these two things. I think corporate lackies put some of these good reviews here to encourage sales with free advertising. This game was good for N64, i don't know what happened. I think you used to be able to just pick up weapons on the track in the old one a blow the crap out of each other, now you have to buy the weapons after winning races (annoying). The courses are so limited; it's the same junk over and over and the graphics are mediocre compared to other GC games. The controls suck and i think there was only one camera angle. Avoid this game like a Chinese restaurant next to a kennel. ... -

stupid creatures
this is a cool game with some flaws. You are a spaceman that crashes and finds these little dudes that sprout from the ground. They help you do crap when you harvest them with the goal being to find your spaceship's missing parts in thirty days (each day is like 10 minutes in real time). The game is fun but irritating when the Pikmin don't do what you want (which does get easier). The day thing almost ruins the game: you have to round up your Pikmin at the end of each day and return them to your camp or else you lose them. There's no time to screw around and have fun, you always have to rush around to accomplish anything in one day. It seems short but i didn't finish it(rental)..... ... -

OK
This game has cool graphics but it's real hard (i guess that's OK) so i got stuck on the 4th board before i returned it( a rental). One thing that pisses me off: why are all of Luke's posse members such sissies? You always have to complete some mission before your buddies get killed. Why can't they fight for themselves? They have guns too. The coolest board could have been the Battle of Hoth (that snow land from Empire Strikes Back) but you have to do it quick to save your loser army. Instead of having fun with killing all the enemy troops you get to attack 1/4 of the guys on the board. The fun gets sapped away by all of these wimps needing your help every two seconds(and they whine to you if you don't help them). The graphics are sweet though..... ... -

nintendo kicks butt but...
1 of 1 Yahoo! Users found this review helpful this game could be better. It's way too short and the physical area you can travel is tiny compared to Mario64 (because you're indoors the whole game). The graphics are amazing and the animation is first rate but it seems like they rushed this to get it out for the holiday season release date. I might be crazy but I think that little scientist dude who helps Luigi through the game is speaking Japanese, a sure sign of a rush job to convert the original Japanese version to English. This is a quality game but it didn't blow me away the way Mario64 did when it came out. A sure fire 5 day rental from Blockbuster; there are better games out for this system to buy. Hopefully the other Nintendo-only games that are on the way will be a bit better (Zelda, MarioKart, Metroid?, Donkey Kong, Mario Party, etc).
PS obviously the two peeps who gave it 1 star haven't played it or are anti-nintendo, there's no way this is a BAD game, just a little short of expectations. ...
Nice
This game kicks ass....it is fun even if you could care less about actual snowboarding. The courses are great; you can take the same run a thousand different ways. The controls are smooth and the tricks are real fun and easy to learn. The music is cool, it fits right in with the game. Rent it first or use that five bucks towards buying it! It's so worth it.... ...
