Cons: Vista compatibility, eats ram for breakfast
I got this laptop to replace my ancient P4 Win2K desktop. While at first Vista was a pain in my rear, many companies have now released drivers for the software and all but 1 of my programs works. A few are buggy (foobar2000, firefox) but if you REALLY wanna run them from your old system, install Microsoft's VirtualPC. If you're a newbie with computers, I wouldn't recommend it because it took some work to install the ram, and configure drivers etc. But once you get it all working, it's a smooth sail. ...
