His best No Limit work
1 of 1 Yahoo! Users found this review helpfulPros: Fresh sound, Not all about killing, great producers
Cons: Game Skit, cd too long, Kokane!
This is snoops best work on No Limit and I really liked it. The majority of the songs are good and there are a few classics as well as duds. The lyrics on this CD are also pretty decent considering what were used to with snoop, which is shizzle bizzle dizzle. You can really tell snoop was trying on this one and the selection of west coast producers are very good. Dr. Dre produces 4 songs. One major issue is one of the featured artists Kokane, who sounds like he swallowed a rabbit and is trying to cough it out while rapping. Too bad he is in like half the songs, but he doest well on the dre produced Hennesy and Buddha. Highlights Hennesy Buddha, Snoop Dogg, Go Away, Set it Off, Lay Low, Bring it On, Issues, Loosing Control, Yall Gone Miss Me. Duds: Stacey Adams, Skits, I cant swim, no limit song. I really like the last song as well, it makes you appreciate snoop and the lyrics are actually clever and good. His best album in a long time. Cop it quickly ...

This is not a masterpiece
Pros: Fresh new beats, some postive songs, Neptunes songs
Cons: Drop It like it hot overplayed, No Thang On Me, some songs terrible
This album reminds me of some of snoops earlier work with No Limit, it just seems like he doesnt really care to make good music and would rather say the first thing that comes to his head. First of all the beats are a welcome change, the Neptunes give snoop a fresh new sound which fits his style well. There are some good songs on here, for example the very positive intro, ups and downs, lets get blown, perfect, Oh no and pass it pass it. The problem is that these songs are not great and I think if you put them onto a snoops greatest hits disc they would pale in comparison to some of his other work, even with no limit. There are also some awful songs on here like Fresh Pair of Panties (why a song about this), the stoned mumbling of No Thang On me, and the awful threw witchu. These songs are TERRIBLE and should be skipped immediately. The others are decent and some have highlights, but overall I just cant give this CD a better than average rating. And dont lie and tell us this is a masterpiece unless it really is. If you think this is a masterpiece I dont want to know what the next album is going to be like ...
Snoop Outshines Everyone
Pros: Snoop Dogg can rap, still his voice in its prime, adds southern style for a nice touch
Cons: No Limit Soldiers everywhere, some god awful songs, lyrics very weak
After leaving death row and going with the No Limit label, snoop found a new home and somewhere he was at least appreciated. I think this album might have been a lot better if snoop ditched the gangsta hardcore style like he did later on, because with No Limit its totally unbelieveable and laughable sometimes. I mean can you see him patrolling the streets with Silkk the Shocker? As for the music, the beats are pretty decent and there are some classic songs on here including Still a G Thang, Hoes Money and Clout, and for the hype it generated Woof. Other songs that are good are Snoop World, Slow Down, Dont Let Go, Whatcha gon do, DP Gangsta, Doggs gonna getcha, Bout it and Rowdy. Most of the other songs suck pretty bad although a few have highlights. The main issue on here is the presence of No Limit soldiers who bring every song down. Silkk Tha Shocker cant rap and just talks as fast as he can to any tempo he decides to the detriment of the beat and mysitkal just screams out unintelligiable lyrics with his buddy fiend. Snoop really makes them look bad on here and saves most of the songs. I always feel like I am ready to skip the song and then snoop comes on at the end and saves it. Not a classic by any means but still some good music on here. Just hard to balance the good and bad so i give it an even ...
