Different from the U2 you know, but just as good
Pros: Fresh, ingenuitive sound
Cons: None, really
Boy is not for the new fan of U2 who likes Beautiful Day and Vertigo and the like... In fact, Boy might not even be for those who were fans of albums dating back to Joshua Tree or The Unforgettable Fire. Why? Because this album is very different. It is U2's first, and has very 80's feel and sound to it. However, that doesn't mean that it is not a brilliant album. The songs are passionate and edgy, reflecting a young Bono's hopes, dreams and fears. I Will Follow, Into the Heart, and A Day Without Me are some of Bono's most introspective lyrics of all time. Songs like Out of Control and Electric Co. are some of U2's fastest-paced and most enjoyable songs of all time. Boy is definitely for U2 fans who enjoy the depth of their music, not just the sound. It is also for anyone who likes great 80's rock n roll. But don't expect big hair. And don't expect Vertigo, either. ...

Brilliant, as usual
Pros: Strong songs, powerful lyrics and U2-like depth
Cons: Nada
Wow. They've done it again. Another must-have album for fans of U2, fans of rock n roll, and fans of music in general all alike. HTDAAB is a near-perfect concoction of the things that make U2 one of the greatest rock n roll bands of all time. From catchy, guitar-driven tunes like Vertigo and All Because of You to epic, moving ones like Sometimes You Can't Make it On Your own and Original of the Species, this album has it all.
There is not a bad song on here, and you can count on several becoming U2 classics, including City of Blinding Lights and Love and Peace or Else. The best part of it all is Bono's amazing lyricism. As strong, as spiritual, and as thought-provoking as ever.
Great, great stuff. You've gotta have this one. ... -

CLASSIC - GREAT PACKAGE!!!
Pros: The album itself is amazing! The extras are great as well
Cons: None
How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb is one of U2's best efforts of their career. Fromt the rocking Vertigo and All Because of You to the poetically inspiring Sometimes You Can't Make it On Your Own, HTDAAB brings out the best in U2, lyrically and musically. This album is a MUST HAVE for anyone who has enjoyed U2 in the past, or for new listeners looking for the BEST ALBUM OF 2004.
Check it out, give it a few listens if need be. This one grows on you with every listen.

CLASSIC
Pros: The Music, obviouslly, but the bonus DVD has some great stuff too
Cons: None I can thnk of...
U2's How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb is their best effort probably since Achtung Baby in 1991. Its lyrical poise and musical depth is undeniable. It is an album that grows on you with every listen, just like the best U2 albums do.
Don't be led away by average or poor reviews. If you have enjoyed any U2 in the past, specifically All That You Can't Leave Behind in 2000, you will LOVE this new album.
This is easily the best album of 2004.
MUST HAVE!!! ...
Absolutely Amazing

Cons: None
This is by far the best Coldplay album to date and possibly the best album I've heard in recent years. There is really no way to describe the album unless you hear it for yourself. It has the signature Coldplay sound but a new depth and a bit of an edge that the past two albums only showed bits of. There is more guitar (and great guitar at that), more addicting hooks and a feel that makes you lose yourself while listening. X & Y is everything that was great about Parachutes and A Rush of Blood put together plus even more.
My favorite tracks so far include:
White Shadows, Fix You, Talk, The Hardest Part
annnnnnd really all of them... ...
