Maiden is back!
Well, I just finished listeing to this incredible cd, and it was awesome! The sound is great, just as good as the production on Live After Death. The only thing I really didn't like was the track list, there should have been more. I saw these guys in concert back in 2000 with Queensryche and Halford and this was the same, exact song list. Everybody has their favorites that they would like to hear and if that was the case Maiden would have had to play for three plus hours and this would be a 3-cd set. Still, it's great and worth picking up. When's the next studio album? ... -

What's this? And why?
1 of 1 Yahoo! Users found this review helpful I have not heard this yet but I have to ask - why? Re-Plugged just came out last year, why another live album? What's the point, other than making some extra bucks off of past hits? Seeing as how these guys just got back together wouldn't the smart thing to do now be to put out a really solid new studio album? That seems to be the trend recently. All the 80's bands are putting out hits and live albums to cash in on past glory because the few out there that are putting out new material are usually falling short of past glory. Ratt and Motley Crue are perfect examples. And Poison, whom I was never that fond of in the first place. And don't even get me started on Warrant. Quiet Riot has been a joke for about fifteen years. Even Dokken, one of my favorite L.A. bands of all time, are putting out dreck. Reb is great but the music is just not as good. I guess I'm just venting. I really miss the old days when there were so many good bands and albums it was a struggle trying to get them and enjoy listening to them over and over. How about Judas Priest? The definition of heavy metal - past it's prime. It's sad. It's all so very sad. ... -

Are things winding down?
To be fair, I have only heard a couple of songs off of this cd that have already been previously released, but Christ! Great White, who were one of my favorite bands in the 80's have spent most of the 90's putting out about four hits albums and a Zeppelin tribute cd. When a band does things like this, it means they are biding for time because they know the end is near. Similiar to what Queensryche is doing: first the hits album and then the live album the following year. Great White's stuff has not been as good in the past six years or so as previous material and with Mark Kendall and Audie Desbrow having left the band, what's next? I hope they can get things back together and get back on the right track. All of this filler material is really annoying. Can't Get There From Here, the last studio album, was a real letdown and now all that's left is stuff like this. Stop ripping people off. ... -

The last good Dokken album
Enjoy this one while you can, kids, because this was the last good album associated with Dokken that was ever released. As good a guitarist as George Lynch is, Lynchmob was never that hot of a band, and George's solo album was mediocre to say the least. The Dokken albums of the 90's have all been terrible. I did, however, pick up Live from the Sun recently and it is alright. Not as good as the live album from the 80's and Reb Beach is playing, but it is good. No offense to Reb, he's awesome. ... -

Easliy one Of Yngwie's best albums ever
2 of 2 Yahoo! Users found this review helpful This cd is just to incredible to put into words but I'll try. It is an inspirational, beautiful and moving album. Every track is just fantastic. Personally, as incredible as Yngwie is, I thought that going into the nineties his stuff was not as good as it was in the 80's. It was all beginning to sound alike, even though the guitar work was always mind-blowing. Most of the reason was because of his ever-changing line-ups and vocalist changes. I can only hope that sometime in the future he will make a sequel this masterpiece. ... -

Odd
About six months ago I picked up "High Live" and I loved it, I think it's one of the best live albums I've ever heard. Last night I picked up "Master of the Rings," and it is very hard to find Helloween stuff anywhere except for the "Keeper" albums. While I like the album, the versions of the songs that are on it are much better on the live album. Much better. Better sound, better production, everything. It's going to take some getting used to. I was going to pick up the other 90's Helloween stuff but after hearing this I don't think I will bother. "High Live" is the best 90's Helloween album. Although, "Better than Raw" is a great metal album. I'm eager to hear some more new stuff. A lot of bands like to say that they are a live band and they sound better on stage. With Helloween, it's no lie. ... -

Jamie is a young Goddess
Like a lot of people, I am a die-hard Sopranos fan. I have all of the episodes of the past three seasons on tape and am eagerly awaiting the fourth season. Jamie is georgeous! It has been fun to see her grow up over just a couple of years. When I first saw her I thought she was a cute girl, now she is a beautiful young woman. I really don't care for all of the teeny-bopper music that is out today because it is forgettable ear candy, but I am willing to listen to Jamie's music because it is her. I only briefly heard a little of "Crybaby" so it's hard to judge right now. I am also waiting to see the video, is it playing on the music channels yet? Anyway, Jamie is incredibly cute and I hope she does some other acting ventures in the near future. ... -

Very sad - RIP
I really don't know that much about Aailyah other than seeing her in Romeo Must Die because I don't really care for R&B music, but from what I understand, she was a very talented singer and dancer. It is a true shame that such a young life is suddenly cut short. It is even more of a shame when that said life is supposed to have been very talented musically and on the verge of a great movie career. She was supposed to have begun filiming Matrix 2, which you know is going to be huge. In a music industry that is currently filled with talentless garbage, she will be missed. Being an actor myself, I am busting my butt to make a living doing something I love. Here, I see somebody about to explode into stardom and it is sadly taken away from her. Sometimes, there is just no justice. I look at the current slate of music, movies and television and I see hardly anything worth paying attention to. From the response that Aailyah's death received, I gather that she was a talented artist in a world that desperately needs to see and hear real talent, not product. ...
Another Great Album
Pros: They just keep getting better
Cons: "Devils Ground" is a short, bad narration
This is a great album! It is their fifth one and they are all good. I picked this up the day it came out and was not disappointed.
