If You Loved the Game - Get the Movie
Pros: Close to the game, Effects, Casting
Cons: A rather lacking Ending
Silent Hill. As a young man I fondly remember freaking myself out playing Silent Hill on the PS1. The movie was a well made rendition of the game. Very close to the actual flow of the game, the acting and effects of the movie are superb. The short of it, however, is that if you never played the game or don't have an appreciation of such movies, you probably will not like it. ...

One to Keep
Pros: Story, Magic, Edward Norton, Mystery
Cons: Jessica Biel
Superbly acted, and directed, The Illusionist is easily one of the best movie's I've seen. The fact that it was only nominated for one academy award is a slap in the face to a phenominal movie. A story of love, a struggle for power, betrayal, and magic on many levels, this movie will keep you hypnotized as you watch this tale of murder and illusion unfold before you. ...

Morbid Beauty
Pros: Gorgeously Drawn, Soundtrack, Dubbing, Superb Voice Actors
Cons: Morbid, Bloody, Consistant Nudity
This is easily one of the most compelling anime series I've ever seen. Intriguing and captivating from the openning sequence to the last moment of the credits, Elven Lied is a sure pleasure. The only problem that one would find is the fact that it is a VERY bloody and morbid story. You truly do not leave the story feeling good about much, and there are times where it is so depressiong you feel you may weep. Dispite this all, the series shines as one of my favorites, and I'd suggest this to anyone who enjoys dark anime. ...

Teenie Boppers of the World UNITE!
0 of 1 Yahoo! Users found this review helpfulPros: Casting, Soundtrack
Cons: Storyline is Lacking, Poor Directing, Too Predictible
Take an overused story of a man cheating on multiple women, throw in a pop-star, add a large helping of "Teenie Bopper" bliss, and you will have the IQ Dropping bomb called "John Tucker Must Die". Obviously ( or so we can hope ) aimed at a teenage audience, this movie is a bottom scrapping wad of uselessness in a world full of below average titles. Deffinatly a TB title and only for that select culture. ...

Setting a new standard for the term "Horrid"
Pros: Soundtrack, Nepolean Dynamite, Hannigan
Cons: Everything Else
Claming to be written by 2 of the 6 writers from Scary Movie, the only thing funny about Date Movie is that it made any money at all. Horrible in almost every sence of the word, this movie is a nonstop trip to mediocrity. If you're not sitting for 10 minutes while they repeat the same joke over and over again, you're anticipating a punchline that never comes. Most of this movie will be spent waiting for it to be funny - then you'll realize I just isn't going to happen. The best part of this moive? The Credits - I was thrilled it was over. ...

One to Skip
Pros: Good Soundtrack, Good Special Effects
Cons: Poor Acting, Forced Plotline
Having never seen an episode of the TV Show Miami Vice, I was not sure what to expect when I watched it. I was treated to one of the wost cinematic experiences I've ever had in my life. I have not seen a movie this bad since the box office flop, Date Movie. Though accomplished actors, Farrell and Foxx seem to not have wanted to take this movie or as if they dislike each other. There is an obvious lack of chemistry between these two throughout the whole movie which permiates into every aspect of the film, weighing it further down in the trash can. With it's wooden characters, and seemingly pulled along plotline, I was left feeling that chewwing glass would have been a better time then watching this movie. ...

The Title Says It All - Litterally.
Pros: Some Moments of Humor - See the Review, Sam Jackson
Cons: Everything else
Snakes on a plane - that's pretty much the movie. Snakes, on a plane, killing people, and the people trying to get away. Of course there is a plot to it - or a reason that the snakes are on the plane - but it doesn't take away from the fact that the movie is pretty much just... snakes on a plane. Real snakes were used, but obviously CG'd to a degree to make them move faster... but with the only good acting comming from Samuel Jackson, the rest of the movie tanks. I am suprised that SJ did not read the script, burn it, laugh at the producer/director/writer and walk away. How the mighty have fallen.
