Flt Sim 2004

Cons: Resource-hungry program
First of all, I also have Flt Sim 2002 (and love it). My computer is currently running a Pentium 3 system at 1 gig. with 512 megs of RAM on a platform of Windows XP Pro. My 2002 Sim runs just great on it and since I didn't see any greater system requirements indicated on the packaging or ads for the "2004", I expected similar performance to "2002". To make a long story short, I was in for a shock... jerky and somewhat unreliable performance at even the lowest graphics quality settings! The "real world" weather is a great experience, but I didn't particularly like how other flying aircraft were now nothing but some text floating around in the sky to define the aircraft.
Tech support at Microsoft was very courteous and tried to be helpful, but after several written exchanges between them and myself, it was apparent that my current computer wasn't up to the task of running this program even half way right. For now, until I get my new super computer, I give up... I'll just stick with my Flt Sim 2002.
