Short, But Sweet!
Pros: Great Acting, Great Writing!
Cons: Not Enough Episodes with Duncan!
Season six of Highlander the series was a short, but sweet 12 episodes. This season is also a little short on my favorite Immortal, Duncan MacLeod. There are four episodes, ‘Sins of the Father’, ‘Patient Number 7’, ‘Justice’, and ‘Two Hearts’, where the powers that be tested the water for a female lead spin-off (which was eventually the Immortal Amanda as the Raven) also, there are a few episodes with just a little bit of Duncan, or a mention that Duncan is in London while Methos and Joe take the lead (not that I think this is a bad thing). There is also an appearance of the Immortal Huge Fitzcairn (Roger Daltrey) in this season, and as usual he steals the show with his great comedic timing!
These episodes, with the exception of the before mentioned details, are very well written and the acting is great. I really have enjoyed re-watching these episodes (as I’d only seen them once before). The extras are very entertaining to me; I really enjoy getting to see the behind the scene stuff and I love to hear what the stars and production people have to say about working on episodes that I enjoy so much.
All in all I think this is a perfect DVD box set, it’s a great one to own, and I recommend it for anyone who likes a good action/sci-fi/ ...comedy/ drama type flick! -

A wonderful ending to a great show!
1 of 1 Yahoo! Users found this review helpfulPros: Wonderful acting and writting!
Cons: It's the last season :(
I love season six of Xena; these episodes are so great! The drama is outstanding when it’s meant to be, such as in ‘Coming Home’, and ‘Who’s Gurkan’. The comedy is also great! My favorite comedy episode of all times ‘Old Ares Had A Farm’ is in this season; picture the handsome god of war, Ares (played by the late, great Kevin Smith), with no powers, on a farm with Xena and Gabrielle trying to get everything running smoothly while every warlord in the known world attempts to hunt down the former god. It’s just a classic. This season is filled with great stories and wonderful action.
In addition to the wonderful episodes the box set also has some great interviews. Being a mega fan I would have loved to have seen more interviews, but I’m grateful to have what was given to us.
I recommend this set to everyone willing and able to purchase it! ... -

A Good Christmas Story
Pros: Harry Conick Jr.
Cons: Maybe not for little kids
The Happy Elf was given to me by a friend as a Christmas gift. I have to admit I had not heard of it, even though it made an appearance on NBC. I really enjoyed the 3-D action. The story was good enough to entertain me for the whole 45 minutes. Harry Conick Jr. did an excellent job with the narration and the music! He pinned the whole original score, and I really enjoyed that.
The DVD set came in a neat box that lights up and plays some of the original soundtrack. There are also great extras including an interview with Harry Conick Jr. and a CD-Rom that allows you to make your own Christmas cards, this will come in handy for next Christmas!
This is a fun movie for old and young (but maybe not too young). I believe that all who like to be entertained, and kind of dig Christmas will enjoy this creative show! ...
