Cons: are you kidding?
It is a great movie all the way. It is pretty violent but so is life in Rio. In other words, if you don't want to see brutality on its best, go watch Shrek.
The first sequence - the introduction to the story- is fabulous.
The movie deserves the 4 Oscar nominations it got this year.
The brazilian DVD is already available in Region 4 for those of you who can get passed those codes, or for those of you who have Region 4 DVD players... The title in portuguese is Cidade de Deus, and it has subtitles for English and French (maybe something else). For Portuguese speakers, the brazilian DVD is a better deal because it has many extras! ...
