5th album, 5th result
0 of 1 Yahoo! Users found this review helpfulPros: Great music & songwriting
Cons: It's a very short album (typical weezer)
It's definately a new/different album than the previous 4. I don't understand why a lot of fans want a repeat of the blue or pinkerton. If you want an album like those just listen to them. I like that each of weezers albums has a different flavor.
The highlights are the music and the feel of the songs. You can tell that the effects of Rick Rubin in the studio paid off for the band as they sound great. And, as usual, their songs evoke a lot of relatable topics. Within two listens I was really digging the album. Unfortunately it's a rather short listen, typical for weezer.
All in all a very good weezer album that should please both devoted and surface fans. ... -

Great at what he does.
Pros: Finky groove, great listenability
Cons: More people need to know about him
Yet another great album from JJ, he knows what he does best and comes through again on this album.

This album is great
1 of 6 Yahoo! Users found this review helpfulPros: Cutting Edge Art
Cons: Took long to come out
Their second album, their second masterpiece. This is a band that I wish more people knew about. They are already at the top of their game...and going up. ...

This is another great U2 album. Do yourself a favor and get this album. BUT MAKE SURE YOU GET THE ONE WITH THE BONUS DVD! It was a really great bunus to this album. ...

Another good Cale album
Pros: Continually great lyrics from McCrea
Cons: A little slow throughout
This isn't their best but it is still a really good album. If you've ever bought a Cake album you'll like this one too.

May be his finest yet!
Pros: His guitar playing & great vocals
Cons: none
This may be Joe Bonamassa's best album yet. This guy has got to get recognized soon for his tremendous musicianship. After three albums, Mr. Bonamassa seems poised for stardom on this 4th album.
Oh, and one other thing, if you've never seem him live do so now, and as many times as possible before he blows up internationally. He's one of the best performers you'll ever see. ... -

All in all a bad album, with few redeemi
Pros: 2 or 3 tracks are survivable off of this wreck of an LP
Cons: Eddie singing
I'm a huge VH fan, and wanted this album not to be what it is. But this album is VH with the wrong singer, trying to do too much, writing mostly forgettable music. Not Gary's fault, I put the blame on the VH brothers. They really lost track of how to write good music on this album. ...

Great Selection os VH Songs
2 of 2 Yahoo! Users found this review helpfulPros: 3 new songs & good selection of hits
Cons: Not enough new or "unreleased" stuff
This is a great album for someone that doesn't have a bunch of VH albums and the hardcore fan.
Both types of fans will find something interesting or valuable in this collection. It could be the great set of hits, the new stuff, the interesting order of tracks, the well written liner notes, or just having remastered versions of classics.
The new songs are good, and hopefully point to a new album full of new material with Sammy.
All that said, this album is basically a celebration of the best hard rock band ever. Buy it, enjoy it, or get out of the way. ... -

VR does it again
Pros: Loose, free attitude
Cons: Not enough tracks
VR dies it again with Known Unknown. This album is for anyone that can appreciate a modern instrumental. It's jazz, funk, and a little rock all flavoured into VR's personal style. ...
Another great album, much tighter than the first.
Pros: Strong effort, solid throughout.
Cons: I didn't buy it earlier
A great set of songs. I think its a stronger set than the first album, if thats possible. "Doesn't Remind Me" is the first song I just loved. They sound much tighter as a band here. It doesn't feel like they are struggling with trying to not sound like their old bands. This album should hold up well over time. ...
