Great value!
Pros: Nice sound, easy set-up, great price
Cons: None
I have bought three sets of PC speakers in the last 1-1/2 years for three different systems. Comparitively these are very nice for the price. I am amazed at the sound quality of the Altec Lansing BXR1121's for so little spent. These speakers were $32.00 out the door. I took them home and set them up, in about ten minutes with an old HP Celeron running Windows Me. The set-up was simple and the sound quality is very nice for rock, jazz, new age or what have you. For 32.00 this little system rocks! Of course what else would one expect from a name like Altec Lansing? ...

logiTech Z3e 2.1 speaker system
4 of 6 Yahoo! Users found this review helpfulPros: Awsome quality and sound for very little cash!
Cons: None, unless you're trying to blow your face off!
I just received my Z3e's and following the simple instructions it took about 30 minutes to accomplish unpackaging and installation. If you have easy access to your computer and power supplies then you should be able to install these little beauties in about 15 minutes. One of the first things you'll notice is the weight of the speakers. With their cast metal stands and shiny brushed aluminum faces these little beauties exude quality and craftmanship, with or without the optional speaker grilles in place.
I am a very quality minded person that doesn't have a ton of cash to burn so, I shop around very carefully. After researching PC speakers on the Internet, reading reviews and looking at specs I finally settled on the Z3e's for my new Dell Dimension 8400. I purchased mine for $55.00 including shipping. I am very impressed with the quality of the whole system.
After installing the system I booted up my computer and went on-line and played a couple of movie trailers. The sound quality is very much like being in the theater. I then listened to a couple of music videos and was again impressed with the quality of sound. (I haven't even messed around with the equalizer yet.)I have been a lover of music all my life and cannot bear to listen to distortion, vibration or tinny sound. This inexpensive little system has brought quality sound to my PC system. Thanks Logitech!
I have to imagine that if the sound quality of this inexpensive system is this awesome that their top of the line products must be phenominal! ...
Great Coffee Maker
Pros: Very well designed, makes great coffee, programable
Cons: It's a little tempermental
I have owned my Grind & Brew for around five years and it has been well worth the purchase price. Compared to the Toshiba that cost almost twice as much, it has proven to be a superior machine. It makes an excellent cup of coffee and is very well designed. I replaced the brew basket after about three years and with the Toshiba the brew basket only lasted about a year. The only issue that I've had with it is at times it is rather tempermental, closing the lid and getting it to work, due to the fact that at times the basket isn't setting exactly in the right place to get the switch to work. Every once in a while I have to take the basket out, turn the mill blade and put the basket back in to get it to work. But, then I've been using it for around five years. This morning something broke on the latch that holds the lid closed, so I guess it's time to get a new one. ...
