You can get a cheap solution for windows XP, an external MultiMedia Card reader. It's around $19.99 and it works instantly with XP :)

AWSOME!
79 of 80 Yahoo! Users found this review helpful This camera is really one of the greatest camera I have ever seen. I was hesitating for weeks on buying some cheaper 2-3 megapixel toy or buy this one; read plenty of reviews and finally I made the right choice. This camera can be used as a point and shoot camera, with little photographics experience as well as a semi-professional camera where you set everything manually. Just awsome colors, awsome white balance, great sharp image! If you planning on buying a serious camera, this is one of the best you can get in the $1K price range. Buy an extra 256MB or 512MB memory card and a Fast-USB2.0 memory card reader! Just one good advice: DONT BUY THE INTERNATIONAL VERSION! NikonUSA does not service Internation (gray market) Nikon products! That $100 difference does not worth the hassel if your camera would ever brake! No matter what they tell you at the store, get the USA version only! ...
