I looked at LCD TV's for awhile and this TV and the sony had the best picture. The JVC LT42XM48 is the Sams Club version of the LT42X688. After getting it home I connected it to standard cable via s-video. It has a good picture even with that. The HDTV over the air is simply stunning. The included surround sound is very good for TV speakers. You have to turn on the surround feature with the remote till you do the sound is blah. I am very happy with the purchase. It is a beautiful TV. Highly recommended. ...
