The Standard of Must-Have
1 of 1 Yahoo! Users found this review helpful The single greatest album ever made. The Chili Peppers are not on my Label, not my favorite band, nor even in my favorite genre, but this record is the climax of music. Though produced over 12 years ago, I still can not let this title out of my sight. I still listen to it as often as a southern rock fan listens to Freebird. I just cant give it appropriate praise. You can really tell this album was recorded in a haunted house because its spirit just will not die. If you do not own this then let me know, I will GIVE you my old two worn out cds. If you have not heard Blood Sugar Sex Magic then Buy it now right here and avoid my extreme sorrow for you. The Chilis have had John back for the last two records and they have been good, but I still have hope, that they can someday re-find the Magic! Heres to the Spirits!

Philidelphabulous
It is very rare to find one of those records you can just put on, in any mood, and just listen to start to finish. Even the lead on the hidden track makes for a dessert just when you thought the journey was done. I have personally bought this album for other people who just werent sure theyd like it. All of which have now paid me back upon falling in love with it, as I have. To me, I still love the new and old stuff by G Love but I have to say that this album was the climax of it all. I hope they can do it again someday but until then I will treasure this along side of Blood Sugar Sex Magic, as one of the greatest albums ever produced.

Great Record
Traditionally-rooted, but with a contemporary flair; soulful singing, with a powerful trio and an acapella gospel quartet second to none; world-class instrumental talents; a devotion to bluegrass, a commitment to professionalism and a camaraderie that is as evident on stage as it is off. These are qualities that have always characterized the best in bluegrass. At a time when more people than ever are looking for music with creativity and passion, Few are better equipped to answer the call than Mountain Heart. Great Record! ... -

O Brother... What an album
Dan Tyminski just may be the closest thing bluegrass music has to a Renaissance man. A mandolin player, a guitarist, a recording engineer and producer and a vocalist who can switch from delicate harmonies to fiery, hard-edged leads at the drop of a hat. Many people I know were turned onto Dan after hearing Man of Constant Sorrow from the O Brother soundtrack, and upon hearing the Carry Me Across the Mountain cd have become true fans like myself. In my opinion this record is a must have for not just bluegrass fans, but for fans of all music. It impresses me more everytime I put the cd in! Bring on the next one Dan... ...
Still hypnosis
Not the lyrics of Hoon, but worth your listen. If you hear it once you'll know, as I, it is a must have. Buy it now and don't even think twice. You will not regret it a bit. ...
