Cons: A shame more people don't watch it anymore
When asked what some of my favorite all time movies are, I always forget. Until, I see one that has always been dearly loved. Fiddler on The Roof is one of them!
A great movie for the family at Passover. A great movie for anyone, at any time. It takes place Czarist Russia at the turn of the century. I love the dancing, the singing and the sense of heritage that it brings to the viewer. My favorite is with Israeli actor, Topol singing and dancing, "If I were a rich man". I love the way the show getting ready for the Sabbath...
I want the sound tract, because I never tire of the music. One dance scene I particular enjoyed was in a tavern scene when Tevye and the butcher were celebrating the consent to marry Tevye's oldest daughter.
You can feel the excitiment so much you want to get up and dance... ...
