It's the old one
Pros: It's good for the kids
Cons: control, music is TERRIBLE, mediocre story
Anyone reading this review who likes kiddie games, stop now. This is the main positive I have to say; it's for the kids.
Now that we have that out of the way, let me give you a picture of what I compare this to; if you liked PokeMon, or Yu-Gi-Oh!, this is like the movies you begged your parents to see or buy, the cards you said you'd use, and the games you played. Now, picture that stuff shoved in a box and in the back of the closet that you never go into anymore. That's what you'll do to Ape Escape.
True to its title, a bunch of Apes escaped from a circus, and some how got sent back in time and plan to change things in the future by doing a bunch of crap in the past. Your character gets transported too, and so does an ex best friend who now is your enemy (that's soooo original).
To add to my ultimate hatred, THE MUSIC IS TERRIBLE!!!!!!
Like I said before, this is like the PokeMon 2000 movie or something that you loved 5 years ago, but regret seeing today. ... -

You know what it means, and yet you dont get it
Pros: a shooter done... right, portable, interesting story
Cons: repetetive levels, cliched weapons, few bosses
This game is the first FPS on the PSP, and proves they can be done, but it begs the question of "Should they be done?"
The game has many proper elements and a story that belongs there, but the computer situation isn't good at best. The weapons are cliched (how many times have we fired a plasma rifle?), but necissary.
The story, while intriguing, is oddly absent during much of the game play, and only enforced during the training level and between levels.
One thing the sequel (if there is one) needs is a more enforced story and new weapons. It's so-so in my book. ... -

It's direct and cool
Pros: Graphics, fighting is simple, character choices
Cons: when action heats up it can slow down
What to say? You get to fight people for fun WHERE EVER you are!!! The game gets intense, and strategy, along with force, must be used to navigate the maze. Will you take the longer path and avoid tough enemies, or face tham head on? Along with managing supplies, it gives the game a real strategic underlay. You'll love it, but it slows down frequently, so that is a con to watch for. Still a great game, though. ...
It is what it is

Cons: NONE
I remember the day I bought this game. I didn't know what to expect. So, I didn't know what a ride I was in for!!!!
The story is a basic love story: 1. Boy meets girl. 2. Boy falls in love. 3. Boy will do ANYTHING to get her attention.
Although this idea has been used widely, this game proves it is a good idea!! From sailing a yacht to riding unicycles across skycrappers on thin boards, even to fighting huge dandylions (BEST BOSS FIGHT EVER ON A PORTABLE!!!!)!!!
My advice is take a chance on love; it will take you places that you never dreamed of. ...
