I must've missed the plot......
I do a retro show (radio)so I am pretty much all about the 80's, but this film was....I don't know...I didn't get the point. Yes, it reflects Madonna. OK. Now what? Some chick follows her for why?!?! She is trailed after by some dude thinking she is Susan, loses her memory, and then later down the road remembers and becomes friends with this Susan person whom she really never met?! Again...I want to know what the point of this movie was. I missed it. ... -

Stupid is the POINT!
1 of 1 Yahoo! Users found this review helpful I laughed to NO END with this film! If you have seen the movies they make fun of, you are so going to get a chuckle out of this. I read below where it says that it is stupid, but you know....I think STUPID is the point here. It isn't MEANT to be real! That is what a parody is! And if nothing else, you have got to love the "WHAAAZZUUUPPPPP" call part where the "Scream" masked guy participated. TOO FUNNY!!! Just watch it for the laughs! ... -

Now that I am ALL confused.....
0 of 1 Yahoo! Users found this review helpful I hated this movie. I did. I admit it!! By the time I got out of the theatre, I was so confused on who was who and where they were!! The movie jumps around way too much....you really have to pay attention or you will get lost. Now, I will give it the fact that it was VERY realistic and they did an excellant job showing how the same ring effects different people in different ways. But Good GOD...I couldn't keep it straight half the time. Do NOT watch this flick intoxicated!! ... -

I cried for Bertie....Drooled over Mr. C
There are two types of movies: Those I have seen and those that I have seen and become BUY-AGE material for me. That is, I HAVE to own it. Hope Floats was BUY-AGE material for me. Although I really am not into romance kinda things, this flick really gives inspiration to people who really think nothing can go right for them especially in the love department. I am one of those people :)~ Whenever I start feeling that way, I pop in this movie and I look at things in a different light.
Sandra Bullock did a wonderful job with this film. She was very realistic and relatable in her performance. And as for Harry Conick Jr....he can lift me up in his car anyday!! :) ...

EXACTLY!!!
I agree with the post below. I did one (review) with a similar point for Scary Movie. Dumb IS the point I think to these movies. I laughed like hell when I saw this in the theatre, but I really think they could've left out Tia Carrere or whatever her name is and it would've been no loss. She needs to learn how to act or get out of the business! ...
