Fascinating and Eerie
Pros: Plot Sequencing and Character Exposure
Cons: none
In order to appreciate the full impact of this movie you would have to allow yourself to enter a world of imagination.
This is actually a "comic book-made-movie" story, but using a storyline more underground than its more popular counterparts such as Spiderman, X-Men, Batman, Superman, or Hulk.
This is actually a very good movie and the use of black and white to express an Alfred Hitchcock-ess feel is absolutely smart.
"Sin City" is a dark place, much like Gotham City of the Batman series. But Sin expresses something more dark and unnatural and the movie displays these aspects with no problem.
The scenes give you a feeling of what could be in the future. It is not a pleasant sight.
Of course, Bruce Willis plays an excellent role as a beat down cop, which is his staple as an action hero.
I am biased to the movies taken from the comic books, but if you sit back and watch this movie, I am sure you will be entertained.

A Legend and His Legacy
Pros: Outstanding Original Music and Unique Vocals
Cons: none
This is an excellent collection of music for anyone desiring to return to the days of original music and lyrics.
It would be easy for me to believe that every music artist across genre has this collection because you can hear James Brown's music in most songs within the past 20 years.
The man is powerful in his deliverance of vocal slams and attacks to the background musicians collaboration of live instruments.
"The Payback" may be one of James Brown's most sampled track and that's easy to understand once you listen to the song...with the volume turned up.
"I Got You (I Feel Good)" will definitely help you understand why James Brown danced the way he did on stage. This song actually makes you feel good and want to get up and shake a leg!
Though comedians exaggerate James Brown's vocals, you can surely hear where they are getting it. Mr. Brown is truly a unique singer with his own voice that will not be duplicated, in serious music, for a long time to come...if ever.
Being the most sampled artist in the world, James Brown music will definitely stand the test of time and his legacy will live on in generations of musical artists to come.

Outstanding and Continuous Action!!
Pros: Introduction of New Characters and Plotlines
Cons: Too Short...Wanted the Movie to be Longer
This is an excellent action/fantasy movie!
Hey, you don't have to be a comic book fan to enjoy the thrill ride in this latest installment in the X-Men line.
This movies seemed to focus more on Wolverine and Jean Grey (a different version of the Death of Phoenix storyline).
Still, the movie manages to maintain a continuity of new characters like Juggernaut, Leech, Pyro, and others.
The sound quality perfectly matched the suspense throughout the DVD (thank goodness for surround sound).
This is a must-have for any action movie fan. ... -

Awe Inspiring!
Pros: Powerful portrayal of sacrifice and faith
Cons: None
I finally got a chance to watch this movie. Even after all the public talk and criticism, I was still taken aback by the scenes and storytelling.
To imagine a human being being put through such torture and humiliation is awe inspiring whether you're a religious person or just a compassionate human being.
I found this movie to be excellent in its realism and you could actually relate to how people could behave in this manner...they're doing it today!
This movie was more about the sacrifice instead of the violence. You felt the pain and humiliation. The visual captured your mind far easier than the words.
This movie is not only for the religious-minded, but for anyone who feels the honor in sacrificing themselves for the sake of others. ... -

One of the Best Westerns...Ever!
1 of 1 Yahoo! Users found this review helpfulPros: Outstanding Cast and Storyline...Great Plot!
Cons: None
Now, this is the type of western the whole family can sit down and enjoy together.
That's right...everything but the horses get shot!
And none of that homo-erotic crap you find nowadays in every movie genre.
Excellent fighting scenes and gunplay! Yul Brenner and Steve McQueen are great actors playing excellent characters in charge of a team of cowboys out to save a small Mexican village from marauders.
This movie is actually a western rendition of an earlier Japanese movie, "The Seven Samarai," but is still a great movie.
A must have in anyones western movie collection. ... -

Outstanding Switch from Movie to Television Series
Pros: Great Performances and Storylines
Cons: None
The series is better than the movie!
With the series, you get to see more of the inner-workings of each character with less focus on fool and more on the soul.
Contains drama, action, romance, and humor in proper amounts to enhance and maintain the excitement and suspense.
When are they going to put the remaining seasons on DVD?
In my opinion, this series outshines "Sex in the City" and also provides more entertainment. ... -

The Shield Season 3 is a great series and takes you to a place that will having you understand the risks of all cops.
The great thing about The Shield is how the writers keeps every character in the storyline without sacrificing plot focus.
The third season proved to be just as great as the second. All the cast members are supreme actors in this drama.
Of course, you are left wanting so desperately to see the fourth season, but it is worth it.

This realistic portrayal of police detectives in the fictional city of Farmington is thrilling and enlightening.
The second season proved to be just as great as the first. Vic Mackey, played by Michael Chiklis, is one bad man! But he is the type of guy you would want on your team when you're in a pinch.

Destined to be a Classic
Pros: Action and Storyline
Cons: None
One of the best warrior-based movies of our period!
Unlike other warrior movies where everyone has some unique fighting talents or skillset that makes them instrumental in the battle scenes, this movie examines the warrior from the novice standpoint.
Antonio Banderas portrays a character who is both a poet and a lover (adulterer to be more specific). He is not battle trained nor does he want to learn.
He is exiled from his homeland (for the most part) and placed into a sink-or-swim situation where he is forced to learn fighting techniques to battle against an unseemingly insurmountable foe.
Watching how Banderas adapts to his new weaponry and talents is what makes this movies such an excellent depictionn of courage and honor.
This is the kind of movie that motivates you to do what it takes to get the job done.
A must have for any action movie fan. ...
