Wet Willie
Pros: Great Southern rock
Cons: None
I picked this CD up to get a taste of Wet Willie. I wanted to hear some more Southern rock, and I have all of Skynyrd, Hatchet, and lots of the Allman's and others. These guys are great, love the boogy beat and the lyrics too. I will be collecting their catalog too. I hadn't heard of them until I did some research...I am glad I did!! Recomended for any fan of Southern rock. ...

Bluesbreakers with Eric Clapton [Remastered]
by John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers | MusicPrice: $9.88 to $12.19 Compare PricesJuly 4, 2008
John Mayall
Pros: Good blues music, Clapton
Cons: None
I bought this CD because I am a fan of blues music, and Clapton is playing guitar. He also sings for the first time on a studio record covering Robert Johnson's Ramblin' on my Mind. I haven't heard any of Mayall's other albums. After listening to this one, I will be. Clapton isn't the only talented musician in the band. I also think that Mayall sings the blues style very well. Good solid blues anchored by Clapton's signature sound. ...

AC/DC
Pros: Great set, with a lot of extras
Cons: None
AC/DC has long been my very favorite band. I have been listening to them for 27 years. I collect a lot of CDs and other paraphenalia. I have to say that this 3 DVD set is among the best purchases I have made. It is absolutely phenonemal. Very early AC/DC live performances, TV appearances etc. Disc one spans Bon's career, disc two is Brian's, and the third disc is a mix of the two. The sound and/or video aren't great on all of the tracks. However, for hardcore AC/DC fans, this is a must. The deluxe edition includes an AC/DC tour poster from Highway to Hell (replica, of course) and an envelope filled with backstage passes. Some of which are patches. I was very happy that I picked up the deluxe edition. The booklet included is great as well. ...

Black N Blue
Pros: Rare tracks from an obscure band
Cons: None
Black N Blue is a rather obscure band from the 80s. They are similar to Ratt, Motley Crue, and the like. With only 4 official studio albums released, I look for anything they put out. This disc is a good one. The tracks are rare, and most of them aren't on any of their studio albums. ...

Lynyrd Skynyrd
Pros: Lots of songs, alternate versions
Cons: None
What a great box set from one of rocks greatest acts. This box set covers all of the major hits, and lesser known songs as well. There are many demos and live versions of their most popular hits. The included book is good as well. This is a must have for any true fan of Skynyrd or Southern Rock. ...

Alice Cooper
Pros: Tons of music
Cons: none
This is a great box for any Alice fan. Covers his whole career. The set includes very early Alice Cooper, which I enjoyed. Of course, as with any box set, there won't be enough for the hardcore Alice fan. But, this box is well worth the money spent. Great packaging and the included book is enjoyable too. ...

Annihilator
Pros: Jeff Waters
Cons: Nothing major
This is another great album from Jeff Waters. I love his passion for what he does. The only thing I don't like about this album is the number of guests. I think it has taken away from Jeff's guitar playing. He is incredible. I understand why he did it, and I don't think it was a bad idea. I would just rather hear Jeff play. Definitely worth owning. ...

Framing Armageddon: Something Wicked Pt.1
by Iced Earth | MusicPrice: $9.99 to $14.50 Compare PricesFebruary 16, 2008
Iced Earth
Pros: Great metal
Cons: None
Shaffer puts together another great metal album. My only complaint is that I like Barlow better as a singer than Ripper.

Waylon Jennings
Pros: Great music, hard country
Cons: none
This quite possibly could be my favorite country album. I love the hard drivin title track and Don't You Think..., which are on the edge of rock. There is pure country here too. All of the songs are good. Waylon's style is superb. I love many of Waylon's albums, and he is without question my favorite country artist. ...
