Can't stop playing it!!!
Pros: great energy
Cons: you have to start it over to get more music!
I wanted some new dance music to play for driving around in or cleaning the house or whatever. So I browsed around on iTunes and discovered "Experiment" by Cedric Gervais. I had never heard of him before but the reviews were good so I took a listen and WOW! This album is awesome. A lot of dance albums by a single artist are normally just ok and have one or two really great tracks you burn to your computer and then sell the cd. This one is front to back one of the few dance cd's where I can't pick just one great track.
The title track is great but my two favorite songs are " Halfway Love" and "Spirit in My Life". No hoaky dance lyrics like alot of songs have lately. There is one song on ther called "Respect". It has no real "lyrics" but instead is an homage to all the great DJ's and dance music stars of the past 20 years. And when I say all I mean ALL! If you want a great album to move to or for a party this is the one. I highly recommend this one!! ... -

damn right they're back!
1 of 1 Yahoo! Users found this review helpfulPros: hey they're back...
Cons: I don't think they are coming to my town = (
its been a long time since the chicks have been heard from but after getting married, having kids and that little incident of free speech they have returned with a mix of a new attiude and the old chicks style those of us who didn't trash our chicks discs have grown to love love love!
"Not Ready To Make Nice" is a great way to say "Hi we're back!" Its rare for me to like all the songs on an album but this is one of those rare discs. I could go on about all the songs but the one that seems to always stick in my mind is "Lullaby" a sweet song written for Natalie's kids but also feels like the sweetest love song.
Look after an opening week selling over half a million cd's alone..there really isn't much more you can say except, "what? you don't have it yet?" GO GET IT NOW! ...
Powerful
Pros: great mix of writers
Cons: sometimes preachy
I normally don't comment on books or movies or music to people unless I've finished them or heard the whole thing, but this book I had to say something about. "This I Believe" I picked up when I was working at a book store. It seemed interesting enough from the cover and the NPR association didn't hurt either. The book just sat on my shelf for the longest time waiting to be read. Since I had finished all the latest best sellers I could find I picked it up finally and started reading. To say it drew me from the first word is an understatement. The premise is simple, its based on an NPR series from the 1950's where people write in short essays what they believe. Keep it positive and in the form of "I" not "we" and try to stay away from being too political or preachy. From the first entry of the positive aspects of "being cool to the pizza delivery guy" to two entries written by ElizabethDeutsch Earle, one written when she was sixteen and another written as a grown women looking back on what she believed then versus now. Which brings the next thing about the book. It also contains entries from the original series. It is amazing to see how entries written by Leonard Bernstein and associate Supreme Court Justice William O. Douglas still sound as if they could have been written today. T
This book encourages all of us to take a moment to think of what is it that you believe in and to hold it to your heart and follow it. ...
