Cons: The operating instructions
Have had the recorder less than a week. I set the speed to six hours then tried to copy a tape to dvd and after 2 hours it cut off. May I did something wrong.
Trying to read the operating instruction is like trying to go through a maze. In the first sentence it tells you to go to page 13 then 14 to 17. On that same page there are references to 4 other pages and that is the way it is in rest of the book.
The salesman at Circuit City told me you could record to tape, to disk and to memory. If it has any memory I can't find it.
I set it up two ways to my Sony 1080p. The one way gives me a 480p and the other way (with a $100 cable)gives me a 1080p picture. The only difference I can see (playing a store bought movie)is that with the 1080p I can not view the picture in normal mode. It widens picture to full screen making the people look fat.
If I had it to do over I would not have bought a combo. ...
