Freelancer a very adictive game
1 of 1 Yahoo! Users found this review helpfulPros: Variability, story line, gameplay.
Cons: conversations are canned and get anoying after the 30'th time
Ok after a few missions with the linear story element you have access to multiple jump gates. That in turn allow you to do trade for profits. Higher paying missions. etc.. and the game really doesn't get started until about the 10th linear mission.
also by doing a little exploring you can find new jump holes, stations, planets that are not a part of the story line. and therfore make more profits.
Overall the Canned missions you find in the bars are low on variability but the linears more than make up for it... in one mission in particular my heart was doing about 120. dont wana give much away so I will just say that if you buy this game or are thinking of buying it. Give the game some time.. and you will know what I am talking about.
also I love the jump lanes and the cruise mode. very well done.. and there is nothing like haveing a heavy fighter with 6 guns mounted... and moving the mouse around the screen. anyways I would definitly recomend this game for anyone who enjoys Sci-fi and or First person flyers. and at 19 bucks it is defintly worth it. ...
