LA Confidential - A Modern Noir Classic!
What can I say? This film should have swept the Academy Awards! But a little film called Titanic sank its hopes. I'll bet more film critics and fans have rewatched LA Confidential than have rewatched Titanic. It's no contest, which is the better film. I guess people just love the end of Titanic when the ship goes down. Well, the end of LA Confidential when the s**t goes down is much better than 5 or 6 Titanics. Don't be fooled by imitation Film Noir. This is the one right here. Run, don't walk, and get this film! A+++++++ ... -

Ritter & Belushi save the planet like Re
This movie starts out a bit slow, but once it gets going it's one of the best sci-fi comedies ever. This is a great film for the kids, my son loves in and we almost never even heard of it. Dorky Ritter must cross the country with Super Agent Belushi so that Ritter can impersonate the President, who's been shot, a meet some aliens and save the planet. Along the way they run into some funny situations. Except for a stop at (Nick) Belushi's home to see his parents, there's nothing wrong with this film. A++++ action and a charming story which will keep you rolling again and again. The "Big Gun" or the "Good Package", which would you prefer? ... -

I Despise Jane Fonda, but this is a grea
I can't stand celebrities who think they have the right or responsibility to be activists just because they're celebrities, not that they know anything or feel anything about the causes they fight. Like they were ordained by God to show us little Americans what we should believe and fight for. Jane Fonda has picked some stupid causes to fight and some equally stupid film roles; however, she is one fine actress in this film. Both her and Donald Sutherland rock! It's amazing how you can hate some actor or actress so much but just fall in love with him or her because of a character they create. Well, I thought I would never like Jane Fonda in a film until I saw "Klute". Jane is a prostitute who has info about a murderer and Sutherland is the private-dick trying to protect her and get to the truth of a friend's disappearance. Well written and perfectly acted. This is a great suspense, thriller. Not for the kids though so put the little ones to bed before watching. A++++++ ... -

Another Carpenter nod to Lovecraft!
Great story! Perfect Cast! It's just unfortunate that they couldn't have waited until 2000 to make this film cuz the special effects aren't all that. They could have been so much more! And this is the kind of story, which requires extra attention to the details; I was a bit let down but nonetheless pleased with the viewing experience. Heston is a nice touch. ... -

Twisted Twins and Pitchforks!
I saw this for the first time in the 70's on TV. It scared me then cuz I was only about 8 or 9, and it scares me now. A bit dated but nonetheless a fine and spooky romp in New England. John Ritter is a nice surprise and there are some genuinely spooky moments. The story seems a bit wanting, but the end result leaves the viewer thinking thoughts like, "What the heck was that all about"? Well worth a watch. Have fun trying to figure out which twin is naughty and which is nice. Creepy. ...

Shame on you Speilberg!
We liked this movie the way it was! What's this crap? Why not go back and fix one of your crap movies like "Always" and leave your good movies alone!
