stirring, passionate, wonderful

It's a fantasy, not a history novel!
I'm not a big martial arts fan, but the Matrix blew me away. So did this. I didn't know what to expect, and I loved it. The scenery and music are absolutely wonderful. I had never seen fight scenes like that, besides the Matrix, especially with the supernatural powers mixed in. I loved the emotions this stirred in me about love and loneliness. A very moody, emotional type of movie and one of my current favorites. ... -

as extreme as it gets
An incredible story of sin and redemption. Harvey Keitel is awesome, but this is one of the raunchiest movies ever. Extremely graphic, but also very real. Be forewarned, but be moved. ... -

this was an all around bad movie
2 of 2 Yahoo! Users found this review helpful I really wanted to like it, because I'm a big CART racing fan, but it was terrible. All those cliches, and I mean every one possible! A lot of inconsistencies about real racing, but that wasn't as annoying as the really bad script, some really stupid lines, and not very likable characters. The worst was how it started. Showing races and things and people we don't even know about for like 2 or 3 minutes. Don't even waste your time. If you really want to see a decent racing MOVIE, get Grand Prix(1966). If you want to see great real life racing and people's lives, get "Super Speedway", a 1996 documentary which centers around the Andretti family and the CART series. When I heard that Sly ws making a racing movie, I was nervous because I love open wheel racing. Originally to be filmed with the Formula 1 series, I wish he had just scrubbed it when that didn't work out. Hopefully, it will get some people intersted in the sport, cause God knows we need it. Watch a CART race sometime. I believe it will be more entertaining than this movie. ...

Oh my God, this was one of the very worst movies I have ever walked out on. It should really be out of print. That would be a great day for the world. Sorry , Indiana Jones did it all better and before. ...
