Can't Stop Listening To It
Pros: soulful lyrics
Cons: gone is the teeny boppy sound
For his third studio effort, John Mayer delivers the blues wrapped up in sugary sweetness. Even when he sings about Dreaming With A Broken Heart, the melody just gets you and you hope you *are* dreaming with a broken heart. He also provides a voice for the generation with his first single Waiting on the World to Change and pens a wise statement about war in Belief. My favorite tracks from the album are Stop This Train, Slow Dancing in a Burning Room, I'm Gonna Find Another You, and Vultures (which never fails to keep me groovin' to its tune). I've listened to it about 50 times (and counting!) and almost memorized all the lyrics. It never gets boring. A classic. Definitely recommended. ...

JM at his best
Pros: Great performances
Cons: Nothing
John Mayer sounds best when he is performing live. Here, he gets the whole crowd going with great performances of My Stupid Mouth, Comfortable, and Why Georgia. I also love it when he does this covers like what he did in 83 - inserting Girls Just Wanna Have Fun and Let's Hear It For The Boys. You can also appreciate what a talented guitar player he is as he does extensions of his songs. ...

Brilliant, As Always
Pros: Great lyrics, interesting package/cover
Cons: Few songs
John Mayer returns with his follow-up album to Room For Squares. Here he matures a bit both musically and in his lyrics which hints at deeper issues. Gems in this album are Clarity, Something's Missing, Home Life and Come Back To Bed. ...

Gets Better With Every Listen
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
I never get tired of playing this cd over and over. The songs simply can withstand the test of time. In fact, each song can relate to different feelings, moods, and events of your life and you'll find yourself thinking that John Mayer said it best with one of his songs. ...

Every Home Should Have One
Pros: Great episodes
Cons: Few special features
Just watch one episode and you'll be instantly hooked on this clever show about a teenage private detective trying to solve the mysteries surrounding her community of Neptune. I've recommended this to my friends and all of them loved it! And what's not to love? There's are the interesting mysteries to solve every episode, witty writing, great acting and chemistry from all of the actors, and even a great opening song (We Used To Be Friends by the Dandy Warhols). People of all ages will enjoy this show, it's not jsut for teenagers though it looks like the other teeny bopper shows. Fans of the TV classic Buffy the Vampire Slayer will like this show too since it features another kick-ass heroine who can stand up for herself. Definitely recommended! ...

Great Beginning To A Great Series
Pros: imaginative, great characters, witty dialogue
Cons: i can't think of one
It's the year 2058 and technology has advanced that there are flying cars, auto chefs, droids, and holos. But one thing remains the same - people still commit murder. Eve Dallas is a police lieutenant in New York who gets a case about a serial killer who targets LCs (Licensed Companions - prostitution is legalized by then). Will she solve the case? Well, duh!
But seriously, this is a great book if simply for the vivid world J.D. Robb has created. She creates this world where it's clearly in the future but is still familiar to the present that it's totally believable. And if all else fails, read about Roarke who is one of the coolest (or maybe I should say "ice") characters ever created. ...
