Ho Hum
A very average entry into the franchise. The rumors are true about Denise Richards, I'm afraid to say. She is just plain awful. The villain wasn't quite tough enough either. Of course, there are great stunts and beautiful women, but there's nothing new or special going on in this one. Tomorrow Never Dies was better. ... -

Every Damn Night!?
Not John Hughes' best 80's flick, but it has some great moments. This is vintage Paxton, folks. One of those films where the parts are greater than the whole. ... -

Kick Ass!
This movie rocks! Burton is the British master and Eastwood is the take-no-prisoners American in this story about a group of soldiers who try and get a kidnapped general out of a mountain fortress. Very underrated. A great man's movie. ... -

So bad, it's BAD ASS!
1 of 1 Yahoo! Users found this review helpful That's right, I speak the truth. If you're aged 18-30 and have distinct memories of the old school Nintendo and how many hours you spent on it, then this is the movie for you. A good way to relive the 80's and get a healthy dose of Fred Savage all at the same time. As a special bonus, pay close attention for Lucas' one fantastic line. Trust me when I say you will know it when you hear it. ... -

Not perfect but worthy for 80's fans
This is a good film to watch after seeing a John Hughes film. Where as Hughes made 80's teenage classics like "Sixteen Candles" and "Ferris Bueller" which were both lighthearted comedies, "Less Than Zero" is quite disturbing for it's scenes of teenage drug use. A good film, with a great performance from Robert Downey, Jr. Anyone who spent their formative years in the 80's should check it out. Definitely worth a look. ... -

Top 10 of 1999...
...and perhaps in my top 5. It's a relief to finally see Clooney in a movie that doesn't just plain suck. Ice Cube and Wahlberg do a nice job as the two grunts. The film also does a nice job of capturing the early ninties with cars, music, etc. Recommended. ... -

Cage does what he does best...
...look frazled and overwealmed as his girlfriend runs off with a card shark. If you've been searching for a movie with a flying Elvis, Tark the Shark, and a special cameo by Mike Tyson, this is the movie for you. Intrigued? Check it out. ... -

Don't mess with this Momma!
Kathleen Turner gives a great performance as a Mom that's just a little bit too protective of her family. Without a doubt, John Waters' most accessible film to date. Watch for the infamous Patty Hearst in a cameo apperance! Perfect for the Mom that would "do anything" for her family. ... -

So bad, it's good.
If you catch this as a matinee, you know a good movie from a bad one, and you have the ability to laugh at the truly horrible ones then "The Skulls" is for you. Try counting the plot loop holes as a new drinking game. You'll be drunk in no time. ...

Crap, crap, crap.
0 of 2 Yahoo! Users found this review helpful What a tragic mistake for this franchise. Mission:Impossible is supposed to be about a team of spys breaking into unbreakable places and stealing unstealable things with grace and style. The first film was true to that legacy. But this second installment is a travesty. It bears no resemblance to the television series or first film, sans the theme song. Cruise works alone without help. And worst of all, the film is completely John Woo-ified. Super slow-mo ad nauseum. Overall, this film flat out stinks. Considering the talent involved (Robert Towne wrote the script) I expected much, much more. ...
