Nicholas Sparks is awesome
Pros: Sweet film
Cons: None to me
Nicholas Sparks has done it again. Written a great story that made a great film. I read this novel way before it was a movie. They are different in alot of ways but, both good. The sequel of this novel "The Wedding" can never be made into a film because of the completely different ending but, that's okay. I thought the film's ending was a little sweeter.
Noah Calhoun visits his wife Allie everyday in the home where they live. Allie has Alzheimer's and, Noah reads to her, from this notebook, the story of their life everyday, just so he can bring her back to him for a few minutes. They talk and dance for that moment and then suddenly, she doesn't remember him. Heartbreaking, just like the novel but, with a different surprising ending in this film. Highly Recommend. Especially if you are a Nicholas Sparks reader.... ... -

So sad and unforgettable
Pros: Beautiful love story...though the characters never existed.
Cons: Disturbing sinking scene
I'll admit. When this movie came out, I was one of those young women who flocked to see it more than once. I was hung up on Jack and Rose's unconditional love story. But, the sinking grabbed me in and wouldn't let go. I felt so sad and helpless for those who perished, all the while, rooting for Jack and Rose to make it, get married and live happily ever after. I still watch this film if I find it on t.v. The sad thing is, it can never have a happy ending, even in our minds. It is one ending thatcan never be changed. I hadalways been interested in the Titanic but, like Brock said in the film "I never really got it, never really let it in, until now." ...

Friends is my favorite show of all time. I watched every Thursday. For 30 minutes each week, these six hilarious characters came into my life and made me laugh and cry, and want to go to New York and hang out at Central Perk with them. Ross and Rachel sometimes made me want to pull my hair out, they were so stubborn. Chandler and Monica could always make my day. Joey and Phoebe are just so lovable. I'm happy to be able to keep them forever on DVD but, once it ends....you just have to imagine what they might be up to these days. Except for Joey, whom we still see on t.v. ...

Good Movie!
Pros: Feel Good Movie about kids

My daughter, a tee ball player, wanted this in a DVD pack with Sandlot 2. We really enjoy this film. She must have watched it at least 10 times already. It covers everything from childhood fears, friendships, etc. It's a great coming of age film. ...
