jazz me up
I picked up St. Germain's "Tourist" album and feel in love with it immediately. However, this is his debut album which received quite praise in Europe when released back in 1995. This album is not filled with as many upbeat vibes as "Tourist" and is more jazz-based with subtle house rhythms. The likes of Miles Davis and John Coltrane would be proud if they heard this album. While primarily a straight-up jazz album, it will not disappoint those fans who purchased St. Germain's "Tourist" album. Those looking for an upbeat, house only album will be disappointed. While not the same mood of "Tourist" this album has it's own unique mood and is still great. While "Tourist" will receive all the attention, St. Germain fans should still check out this album.
