Good Album
Pros: the guitar work
Cons: Lacks the punch of sonic youth's earlier albums
Although 2002's Murray Street lacks much of the ferocity and punch that are present on Sister and Daydream Nation, the record excels at one thing, exploring new musical territory. The record posseses some of the most ambient, atmospheric, and beautiful tracks in the band's repertoir. The long, dreamy jams of Disconnection Notice, Rain On Tin, Karen Revisited, and Sympathy, are great examples of Sonic Youth's experimental versatility and are probably the best on the album. ...
