Great into to juicers w/o investing a ton of money
5 of 6 Yahoo! Users found this review helpfulPros: Durable, strong motor, produces a lot of juice!
Cons: None that I wouldnt expect from any other juicer
This is my first juicer, so I cant really compare it to others. In my research, I came across much advice telling me that quality juicers were not possible to find for less than $200, and that to buy an inexpensive juicer was to waste my money. However, I am so pleased with my HB juicer!
It has substantial weight to it, so when the super powerful motor gets going, it wont tip, shake, or wobble across the counter. The motor is p-o-w-e-r-f-u-l! Scared me a little the first time I turned it on. Its a little louder than my dishwasher, maybe. Also, in all my research, I was told that the sign of a good juicer was in the pulp thats left behind (is it dry? or is there as much juice left in the pulp as there is in your glass?) Well, the pulp left behind is usually nothing more than moist sawdust. I was surprised how little pulp there is left after juicing veggies! If you put a grocery store bag in the pulp bin before juicing, then all you have to do is take it out and throw it away when youre done! One piece of advice-clean your juicer when youre done juicing, dont wait until all that gunk has dried and cemented onto the basket! ...
