My needs NOT met
Pros: Cool web user interface.
Cons: Does NOT support 8-bit SSIDs (only 7-bit) as of this posting. *Some text fealds are shorter than previous D-Link models
As of Feb 2007, it does NOT support 8 bit SSIDs. For example it does not like the "ñ" in the SSID. I have had other products in the past from D-Link that DID support it before. Why not this fancy model? It's a cool router, but I will not be able to use it's wireless because in my situation it needs to support 8 bit SSIDs. After bouncing emails back and forth with D-Link about 10 times they finally told me this SSID limitation. When I had called their support whoever I talked to does not understand what I'm talking about. They keep thinking I'm talking about the encryption.
7bit ASCII only on the SSID name.....how sad.
I'm completely unsatisfied because I can't use it the way I intended and D-Link support sucked. The phone support was horrible. The tech gets confused with what I'm talking about. ...
