Haunting
1 of 1 Yahoo! Users found this review helpful This score does a lot to paint a picture in your mind. It's a sorrow-filled one that developes a feeling of hope throughout the sadness. The minor tones are ominous, but blend into the glimmering bright majors that make up the majority of the sound.
Well done, just like the movie. ... -

Really Good
I like the blend. Did James Hetfield take some singing lessons (forgive me). His sound is clean and well done - not that he was a bad singer before.
I think this type of album is a testament to a well-oiled machine, regardless of whether you like Metallica or not. ... -

Hard, very hard
I've spent some time listening to a BUNCH of bands recently (metal, that is). I keep coming back to Living Sacrifice. Their change to the grindcore sound (from death metal) was a fresh one. They've definitely found their place. I can't understand, though, why a ton of folks haven't found out about these guys. They have the raw energy of a Slipknot, but are positive. I listen to Slipknot too long and I'm either checking into a psych ward or beating the crap out of somebody. LS is definitely a breath of fresh air. ... -

Acoustic burn
Although the lyrics are powerful and moving, you just can't get around the skill of the guitar playing on this thing. -

My favorite JMT album
This has to be the most inspirational Christian music I've heard. Enough said. -

WOW! Very powerful
This has to be, by far, the most progressive music from John Michael Talbot. Every song is powerful musically. If you can find this, GET IT! -

This is one of the better Christmas albu
John doesn't dissappoint with his Christmas album. The orchestrations are well done. I really like "Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silent." The boys choir is very good too. ... -

This is a masterpiece
Every now and then John Michael Talbot gives us a glimpse of his guitar talent. This album (in a way) showcases this. The instumentals are playful and heartwarming. I think they paint a clearer picture of the joy of the Bride and Groom than some of the lyrical songs. ...
Very good (and Sausage...who the hell ar
This is a good album. I would have given it 5 stars, but I just couldn't stand the singing on the last two songs. Souza sounds like someone singing through a gazoo. It's amazing how well-written these older songs were. They still rank highly with the newer stuff. I'm definitely impressed with the technical difficulty of the riffs. Alex Skolnick hasn't lost a beat - the jazz classes have polished his sound (although I miss some of the "more" distorted sounds of the old solos). The leads for every song are clear and well played. This is a very good album and it deserves high marks. We shouldn't waste space writing ambiguous rants and raves like Sausage wrote. Save those for somewhere else. ...
