The product for the money is a good deal if you want to spend $1500.00 to $2000.00 for a good lcd TV then you should make the investment. But if you want to have a good second TV at a fair price then this is your TV. Just make sure it has the HDTV turner buit in even if it is a little week in the tunning area. The unit I bought is less then half the price of my Samsung and not as nice as picture but not bad for the price. The functions are a bit extensive to get too. The colors deffinetly had too be readjusted to make viewing clear and proper. Sound qulaity is ok but you will need to turn it up a bit to hear it well enough across a room. U know the other review that has slammed them is not great but i think he got a looser set and is pissed. If he knew anything about the industry almost all the LCD's for all the manufactures come from Taiwan they are the leader in this industry. JVC, Phillips and Toshiba get there screens from here.
The codes for getting your universal remotes to work are the same as the Magnavox, Yamaha one of these codes will work. This information is posted on the Olevia Web Site. Like i said its not a Cadillac but a Chevy is not a bad buy either ...
