-DSTM: The Best-
Pros: -Everything!
Cons: -Only a few problems.
Don't Stop the Music, Play's 3rd album, is a beautiful mixture of their vocals. Each and every one of the Play members do a fabulous job - Janet is a new, and a bit unfamiliar, she might need to work on harmonizing with the group a little more.
everGirl: 3/5 A great song with a fast, great beat and the vocals are great, yet you get bored of the song easily.
Don't Stop the Music: 5/5 One of my favorite songs on the whole album. The lyrics really inspire, and the great beat doesn't hurt either. The vocals are just plain amazing.
Every Little Step: 2/5 Aaron Carter makes a good effort, and sounds good with the other girls.
Hand in Hand: 4/5 Great lyrics as well.
You Found Me: 5/5 The vocals are great here, and the girls really harmonize. The lyrics, as always, show a nice message, and it isn't too gushy-mushy.
It's a Hard Knock Life: 4/5 Play puts on a nice twist to the old Annie classic. Their voices sound great, with a variety of pitches that sound wonderful.
Ain't No Mountain High Enough: 5/5 Putting on a girl-twist onto the already-beautiful song, this song sounds great with exciting vocals, the beat is a bit sluggish though.
Seven: 5/5 The beat is fast and exhiliratingly great, and the vocals are high but Play hits every note with pure perfection. The lyrics don't make sense completely, but the music and the vocals make up for it.
Another Love Story: 3/5 This song was somewhat boring, with good lyrics but the vocals lack along with the music.
Overall, DSTM was a spectacular album. It's very price-worthy, and you won't be wasting your money by buying it. ... -

Play - Play 'Round the Xmas Tree
Pros: -Great mixture of piano and organs, other great christmas-like instruments. The vocals, as always, are perfect and flawless.
Cons: -Could use a tad more originality.
Play bounces back after Don't Stop the Music and releases their Christmas CD, Play Around the Xmas Tree. Don't Stop the Music was great, so they had to keep up their reputation; and they met the expectations. The vocals, as always, are flawless and harmonic; most of the songs are blended with a beautiful mixture of piano and other charming instruments. Yet the songs could of been a bit more original; and some of the songs, despite the good vocals, sounded somewhat boring overall and uninteresting. Despite it's ups and downs, the CD is still a winner and is great for singing/dancing to, and you won't be disapointed too much when you buy it. ...
Replay Review
Pros: -Overall, excellent. Nothing fails in this incredible album.
Cons: -No cons!
Replay is most likely the best album Play has ever released. With a girl-twist they bring it on, showing their style and really making it clear they are one of the best girl groups out there.
I Must Not Chase the Boys: 5/5 A beautiful message here, it teaches so much once you understand the lyrics. The beat is nice, the music adding flair to the song.
Honey To the Bee: 3/5 Though Play makes a strange metaphor here, the song still has a few good parts.
Just a Little: 4/5 With an exciting beat and strong vocals, Just a Little captures your attention and keeps it.
Whole Again: 5/5 Play shines in this beautifully put together song, with harmonizing vocals. They focuse instead of hot love but on a more softer approach, getting down to the core of their feelings.
Hot: 4/5 Hot is an exciting mixture of upbeat flair and real seriousness, with great vocals.
Girl's Mind: 5/5 A great song, with harmony and true beauty in it. Nothing's wrong in this beautiful song.
What is Love?: 5/5 What is Love is filled with warmth and a kind of cozy, girlish feeling. The chorus is very beautiful, the verses well-said.
11 out of 10: 5/5 Cleverly crafted, with great bridges and chorus. The girl's voices sound amazingly beautiful and harmonized.
Let's Get to the Love Part: 3/5 This song lacks real energy, and the chorus can get a bit boring. But the verses are well put-together.
2 Blocks Down: 4/5 Nice pitches, well made with a good love-theme.
Ain't No Mountain High Enough: 5/5 With amazing vocals and a spin to the good old classic, Ain't No Mountain High Enough bounces back with flying colors and beautiful harmony.
Replay is a wonderful album, you won't be disapointed! ^-^ ...
