Losts of songs; sound quality weak
Pros: 77 songs included, including most of the Andrews Sisters Biggest Hits
Cons: No booklet enclosed for those who like trivea, and the sound quality is edgy
Overall, this was a good by, considering I got 77 songs and only paid around 10 bucks. I was half expecting an e-mail after I ordered it telling me that the price was a mistake and that they couldn't sell it to me for that little.
The sheer volume and selection earns it four stars, but the sound quality is on the tinny, shakey side for some reason. It probably has to do with the fact that this was mastered by a London company called Ideal Mastering and distributed by a Dutch label called Disky.
I have a smaller "Greatest Hits" album from the Andrews Sisters that has some of the same songs but with a much cleaner, richer sound. (The album is "Greatest Hits - The 60th Anniversary Collection" from MCA.
This might be a good collection if you want to explore the Andrews Sisters' music without spending a lot of money. However, I doubt you'll end up listening to it over and over -- if you really like the songs, you'll probably want cleaner copies. ...
