Pros: Large capacity

Cons: heavy to lift

I used to own the 5 quart model and after 20 years of wonderful service, I bought myself the big one. (I sent my old one to my daughter ... it still works like a champ!) The only reason I wanted the larger one was for those two times a year I make my pumpkin pies ... I wanted to be able to mix enough filling to do two pies at once. This one does it without splashing all over the kitchen.

It's great for pie fillings, cakes, whipping cream, creaming shortening for cookies. I haven't found a single task yet it has failed at. I also love the assortment of attachments for it. I prefer grinding my own meat for hamburgers and meatballs. This workhorse does it with ease.

It might appear to be pricey, but it more than pays for itself with the many years of carefree service. ...
