Out of Time
1 of 1 Yahoo! Users found this review helpfulPros: Good Special Features, Beatiful Cinematography, Beautiful Eva Mendes
Cons: Only two outtakes in the special features
Out of Time is one of the classiest, sexy, suspense thrillers that I have seen in a long time. It's an edge of the seat rollercoaster ride that takes place in the Florida keys surrounding the events of a double homicide.
Denzel Washington plays Chief Matt Lee Whitlock, the Chief of police of Banyan Key in Southern Florida. The Chief is balancing an ongoing divorce/separation from his wife and a steamy affair at the same time. After an interesting turn of events, the tides are turned, and the Chief finds himself the one dodging the law. Now he must think smart and fast to stay one step ahead of the rest of the investigators. Denzel Washington gives an outstanding performance in this role, but that goes without saying, doesn't it?
If you enjoyed the movie "No Way Out" with Kevin Costner, you'll love this movie. It has all the elements that you loved about that excellent '80s suspense film, but more. Plus, the location, action, and fiery on-screen relationships between Denzel and his sexy co-stars Eva Mendes and Sanaa Lathan make it that much better.
Eva Mendes, one of Hollywood's sexiest and most talented budding actresses, is excellent in this film as Washington's estranged wife. You may remember her starring opposite Denzel in "Training Day," but she was only on screen for a few scenes. In "Out of Time," the two go head to head, and the chemistry is great. Eva's character, while incredibly sexy, is able to be taken seriously and is believable as a homicide detective constantly on the defense of convincing people that she is competent even though she is beautiful. She really holds her own in the film, and will definitely continue her upward rise to stardom. Eva receives two thumbs up from this critic.
"Out of Time." Rent or buy it today. I think I'll buy... ...
