Have You Ever Been Bullied or Bullied Someone?
Pros: This easy-read takes an honest look at the problems with bullies.
Cons: None
Have you ever been made fun of or demeaned? Have you ever made fun of or demeaned someone else? “The Wounded Spirit” speaks openly and lovingly to both parties. Frank Peretti shares his own experiences with bullies in a very genuine fashion. Are you a parent, teacher, principal, administrator of some sort, student, neighbor, or anyone who witnesses bullying? Peretti speaks to you as well. What are you doing about it? Is it really a problem or is it simply survival of the fittest? Everyone has been hurt by someone else at one point or another – maybe not to the point we’ll say we’ve been bullied, per say, but we’ve all been hurt by another person. More than likely, we still remember and possibly feel that hurt. On the other hand (whether we want to admit it or not), we’ve all hurt someone else – maybe not to the point we’ve “bullied” them, but we forget how it felt when we were hurt and allow sarcasm and light teasing to cross that fine line at times. I would encourage everyone to read this book simply because everyone relate and take a lot away from it. ...

Selah, Still Going Strong
Pros: It introduces a wide variety of Christian artists.
Cons: There aren't too many upbeat songs.
A new female vocalist spreads her wings as she is introduced as Selah's new female vocalist, displaying a nice, soprano voice. While she is introduced, the group is also singing duets with other recording artists such as Kim Hill, Nichole Nordeman, Barlowgirl, and many more. If you're looking for something with touching lyrics and intricate harmonies, this is definitely for you. However, if you're looking for something with a fast beat or heavy instrumentations, this isn't for you. ...

On Her Own
Pros: Not only is her bluesy voice able to keep her current audience, but her style can appeal to younger audiences.
Cons: None
Former Selah vocalist, Nicol Sponberg, is on her own and better than ever. She still displays her wide range and distinctive voice while broadening her style that will appeal to a younger audience. While Selah fans can still love her, she has stepped out and stepped up her beat for those who felt Selah was a bit sedate. ...

No "Grey" Area Here
Pros: Wonderful lyrics put to fantastic music.
Cons: None
Barlowgirl - three sisters out to bring people to Christ. This album in particular not only has songs that can stand tall themselves, but there are three songs at the end from their first album (their name album) in different versions as well as two from this album. Even if you begin listening to them for the great music, the lyrics are unavoidable. If you're looking for a great rock group and want to avoid cursing and not have to worry about the content of the songs, these girls are perfect! ...

Such a Blessing
Pros: It reminds us how we should treat one another.
Cons: None
Joshua: A Parable for Today is a fantastic book that simply asks, What if Jesus were to come live on earth again for a short time? This book mainly takes place in a small town where outsiders are reguarded as strange and mysterious. Read to find how lives are touched and changed by one man, and see how your life can be touched by this book. ...

Joshua is a Must
Pros: It presents a wonderful, hypothetical question and makes you think.
Cons: None
Joshua: A Parable for Today contains a very simple concept: What is Jesus came down to earth again for just a short while? This movie is based on a wonderful book written by Joseph F. Girzone. It takes place in a small town where newcomers are very cautiously looked upon, and how, despite their confusion and the resistance of a few, Joshua finds a way into all of their hearts. If you are looking for a blessing, watch this movie. It's sure to touch your heart and your life. ...

Wonderful!
Pros: Once the book got started, it was worth sticking with it.
Cons: The book was so slow-starting, I almost gave up and just put it down.
I considered giving only four stars because of how incredibly slow the book started (which is unusual for Frank Peretti). However, stick with it and the pay-off is immense (as are many things). This book is simply a chilling tale of being wary of people and of false prophets. The story takes place in a small town. That's why the book begins so slowly - because you are getting aquainted with everyone in the town. It truly is a must-read for anyone. ...

Fantastic Movie
Pros: Fantastic movie, overall.
Cons: None
Thr3e is based off a novel by Ted Dekker, and it was brought to life through this chilling movie of a man who believes he is being followed and attacked by a serial killer. The script and actors are terrific, and you'll feel as though you're being pulled into the case with them as they try to unravel the mystery of who is after Kevin Parson.
I haven't read the book yet so I can't compare the two, but I, personally, always try to watch the movie before I read the book. That way I'm not disappointed because I usually am if I read the book first. ... -

A Wonderful Movie
Pros: Great performances and music as well as a glimpse into a sad reality.
Cons: This historic fiction reminds us of a sad past.
Fiddler on the Roof is a story of a small Jewish village. This village is very established and holds its traditions in high esteem, being very set in its ways. As times are changing, the villagers want to hold fast to these traditions, but as a family finds, that doesn’t always happen. As a man’s three daughters find love and become more and more eccentric. This is a fantastic movie that has and will continue to carry on through the ages. ...

Not Your Grandma's House
Pros: Very interesting and well written by two fantastic authors.
Cons: None
On their way to marriage counciling, a couple finds themselves lost and standed on a backroad when all four of their tires are blown out. They come to a hotel to find another couple who has a very similar experience. The lights go out. After much difficulty and the lights coming back on, they finally find the very strange owners and sit to a very... interesting dinner. The lights go out again and they encounter a serial killer who locks them in the house and sends a can down the chimney. On it reads (something to the effect of): "Welcome to my house. House Rules: 1.) God came into my house and I killed him. 2.) I will kill anyone who enters my house just like I killed God. 3.) I might let rule 2 slide for a dead body. You have until dawn."
This wonderfully exciting book will hold your attention and keep you guessing the entire time. Once you think you've figured it out, think again. I would recommend this book to anyone. It's exciting and scarry, but clean and suitable for anyone. ...
