Cons: There's the lingering question about what the original would have sounded like...
I have never really heard any of the bootlegs of the original, if I have, i'm not aware of doing so... So with that said, I'm listening to this with fresh ears. It's amazing. It's so simple and complex. I don't too much of the history either. But it's clear that this is a very deep, personal look into what Brian was going through at the time. It takes what Pet Sounds did to a whole 'nother level. The music/sound/fidelity laps the ears the way water laps the edge of my house boat before a storm. ...

This is a great true story about a messed up kid who turned his life around through meditation and buddhist spiritual practice. It also paints an excellent picture of the punk ethic and life in Santa Cruz, CA in the 1980's. It's inpsirational to those who have been lost, angry, destructive, in recovery, or Gen X/Y curious about Buddhism. ...

Well they've done it. They've created the one of the best camper albums ever. Has all the old feel. That old wonderful mysterious simple sound, blended with a fresh approach. I'm glad they're back. I caught four 13" bass from the deck of the houseboat listening to it. So it's good for fishing! ...
