NYPD will alway be the best cop show
The last NYPD Blue aired this season was called "Nude Awakening" and was one of the very best episodes of the show EVER produced. That includes the "Bobbie years." This is television as good as it gets. Bochco and company reinvented the genre and created some of the greatest characters in dramatic television history with Sipowitz at the top of the list. These DVDs should have been released five years ago, but never-the-less, it's great to see them available. I don't understand the hype swirling around The Shield and most other current cop shows. They're not even in the same league as NYPD Blue. The only show that looked promising was "Robbery Homicide Division" and the dummies cancelled it. Go figure. ...
