Missy is Back and Better!
Pros: A Variety of HOT Songs for the club!
Cons: Not the Timberland Tracks We are used to hearing
Cookbook is Missy's best CD since the first two. Here is the strange part...there is NOT a strong Timberland presence or sound on this CD. This time around Missy mixed it up with a little Old school Slick Rick and Grand Puba, Mary J. and Fantasia and even added the sound of the HBCU Big bands! This CD is HOT!! You can Always count on Missy to lay down the club tracks. She hit it on the head on this cd! ...

Cons: It was recorded during a dark period in Mary's Life
This CD quiet possibly will go down in history as Mary's masterpiece. I am a huge fan of Mary J. Blige and totally EMBRACE the evolution of her life and her music. BUT, it goes without saying, My Life was Mary's strongest testament to where she was. I believe those of us who appeciated the My Life cd are those who can appreciate where she is now.

This is possibly the best adaptation ever. As an adult, I understand the powerful messages in the movie even more than when I first saw the movie as a child. The entire cast is wonderful and this is a Quincy Jones masterpiece. This is a MUST see for every African-American child and adult. ...
