Deals with psycho-sexual crisis of a well educated French woman immediately prior to arrival of Germans in WW II. Watch out - it's definately mature adult material, not for the kids. The primary figure is held hostage to the whims and fancy of a male employee in her pharmacy. Touches on the pathos of a marital relationship gone bad, the bent sacrifice of a daughter to a lovers lust, and the behavior of a community in a state of pathos because there is nothing they can do to stop the oncomming juggernaut. ...
