One of his best yet!
Pros: Better than Kingdom Come
Cons: No Kanye West
I was'nt really that excited after hearing the single "Blue Magic" thinking that the album was goin to be a flop. But after hearing the reviews, i had to hear what made this album so interesting and apparently, it was better than i expected. Jay-z not only delivered great lyricism but he chose the best beats for the tracks, most of them produced by Diddy. Not only is it the best album since Reasonable Doubt but this is what it wouldve sound like if Biggie was still here today. Defenately a keeper and if u dont beleive me, start by listening to his other single "Roc Boys". ...

very overtated
0 of 1 Yahoo! Users found this review helpfulPros: great lyrics
Cons: weak production
The only descent tracks here are "Eat or Die" and "K.O.T.W." It seems that Ras Kass got hungrier judging from the title and cover of the album, but unfortunately most of us are fooled. Perhaps its the ongoing beef with The Game thats putting him down. Whatever the case is, its a waste of project for a talented artist such as Ras. I think they should put him with Dr.Dre, only he can save his carreer this time. ...

A Masterpiece!
Pros: great production, amaizing lyrics
Cons: none
before Eminem, there was Chino Xl. A master lyricist which makes him the most talented mcs that ever existed. From top to Bottom Chino is on fire and adds an amount of acid with special guest artists like Killah Priest, Proof and Beatnuts. This is highly recommended to true rap fans and I hope to hear more from Chino Xl later on. ...

solid comeback
1 of 2 Yahoo! Users found this review helpfulPros: DMX still keeping it raw
Cons: couldve been alot better
after announcing his retirement, people figured that DMX's rapping career is over, NOT. He manage to sign with Sony music after a fallout with Def Jam and released year of the dog again. The hit single "We In Here." is a strong anthem. "Lord Give me a sign." is powerfull. However, the only low point on this album i find is that it lacks of amounr of tracks ( in other words its short) and some of the beats did not match his style. Not the worst album, but defenately not his best work. As a fan of DMX, im impressed to see him still keepin it real, i just hope that his next album will be much better than this one. ...

Legends becoming overrated
Pros: some good lyrics
Cons: weak production
Mobb Deep have been in the rap game for quiet some time. Some of us might find it shocking to see him join G-Unit. On the plus side we thought it would same the whole camp. I guess we were wrong. After hearing this cd i was so dissapointed and disgusted at the weak production that i think it was a bad idea for Mobb to get signed to G-unit. track 1 and 2 are the only ones that shines throughout the whole album as well as "Outta Control." But still, what happend to these two guys. Whats sad is that this album didnt even go gold. This is defenately a bad year for mobb deep ...

Great Production!
0 of 1 Yahoo! Users found this review helpfulPros: great beats and lyrics
Cons: what hip hop is missing
This is one of Common's best work yet. From Top till finish this album is inspiring, thoughtful and entertaining at the same time. Something that even grown ups will enjoy. With beats from Kanye West and Dilla, there is no doubt that Common shines throughout the whole tracks. One of my personal favourites are "Be(Intro)", "The Corner", "Go" and "They Say". Above all this cd is a true Classic. ...

Impressive
Pros: Not one bad song
Cons: none
When it comes to Dirty south rap, I usuallly back away and listen to something else. But after listening to this joint, I was so impressed that I end up buying the cd. Banner is on fire in every track of the album and raps from the heart. He along with Ludacris is the best from The south. ...

a masterpiece
Pros: great beats and lyrics
Cons: none
I was pretty surprised to see someone like Kanye West come out with an album that can be compared to other hip hop legends like Dr.Dre, Nas, Rakim, 2pac etc. This album doesnt top College Dropout, but it still is one of the best release. One of my favourite joints are "Diamonds from sierra leone(both Remix and original version), "Touch the sky", "Crack music" and "Gold digger". So far Kanye is one of the best rapper/producers out there in the Game. ...

Solid
Pros: tight songs
Cons: none
Out of the G-Unit camp, Tony yayo and Lloyd Banks are the only ones i like. This album is 10 times better than 50 cent's massacre. Yayo raps with energy and the track "So seductive" is a cool single. One of my other favourite tracks are "It Is what it is", "Tattle Teller" and "Drama Setter" The song "Curious" is perfect for a next single. Hip hop fans will like this album, especially if your a G-Unit fan. I dont even like G-Unit and im feelin this one ...
A Classic joint!
Pros: great songs from top to bottom!
Cons: what Hip Hop is missing
Killah Priest will forever remain as an intelligent lyricist. Every track on this album are unskippable and powerfully done to a certain point that it keeps you going as you listen to the rhymes. My favourite tracks here are "Gun for Gun", "Priesthood" and "Truth B Told". There are quite a few great featured artists on this too. For real hip hop fans, go cop this album. You wont be dissapointed. ...
