LG Gets my vote, and $$$$
6 of 6 Yahoo! Users found this review helpfulPros: Best HD picture I've seen at this price!
Cons: No big deal, but I wish it had 2 HDMI inputs.
What a fantastic television!! I bought mine the week before Thanksgiving and I found this set for the amazingly low price of $1199 after rebates and discounts!! No other TV in this price range even comes close. The salesperson at the store was trying to push me towards a comparable 42" Panasonic plasma, which was set up right next to this LG. He said the Panasonic has the best picture and color for the money... Ummm, I grew puzzled by his statement as I looked at the two sets side by side. The LG was much brighter and crisper and the colors looked vivid and warm. The "great" Panasonic's picture looked quite yellow overall, muddy even. My wife agreed completely and we brought home the LG. I later found that LG uses a special thin glass on their screens that maximizes light transmission, and it really works! It has a perfect picture in bright or dim lighting conditions. As you've probably heard before... let your own eyes be the judge of visual quality and I think you'll agree that LG is hard to beat. And 24 months parts and labor isn't too shabby either! Good luck!!! ...
