Don't waste your money on this piece of crap
5 of 10 Yahoo! Users found this review helpfulPros: I returned it and they paid for the return postage
Cons: The product had really bad maps and then broke
Do not buy this one. Save yourself the aggravation that I have been through. The TomBomb worked OK for a couple of weeks, after taking up to 45 minutes to get a signal sometimes. It worked long enough to realize that the maps that come with the unit are so hopelessly out of date and missing so many streets as to render the unit useless in many situations.
Then it stopped working. Would not turn on, just an expensive paper weight. Tried to get a hold of TomTom customer service. What a joke. Can't get through and they don't return emails. Probably going bankrupt or something. Save your money. Buy from another company. Garmin and Magellan are better. ... -

The Best GPS and its affordable
27 of 28 Yahoo! Users found this review helpfulPros: Easy to use, preloaded maps, touch screen, small
Cons: None really, wish it had XM satellite radio like the new Garmin 2730
For about $500 the C330 brings easy to use gps navigation to everyone. The unit does not require a computer to load maps as they come preloaded. And what good maps they are. Garmin uses Navtec maps which are incredibly detailed and adds to the routing capablity of these units. TomTom uses Teleatlas maps which have large sections that have not been updated in 10 years.
Garmin is the leader in gps navigation and no one is close. Do a little research and you will see many Garmin units in all shapes and sizes and at all price points. Great support and they continually upgrade the product software for free on their website, although you do have to pay $75 if you want to update you maps in a year or two.
I've used them all, and this one is the best for the average joe. ...
Unbelievable at this price
44 of 46 Yahoo! Users found this review helpfulPros: Easy to use, small, but very powerful
Cons: wish it had text to voice
What can you say about the Garmin I3. It does everything they say it does. So small, so easy to use, so inexpensive. Everybody should have one. Get one for your kids so they will never be lost, get one for the wife too.
The unit gets a signal very quickly and the easy to use menu and click wheel make entering an address or destination a snap. The voice directions are right on and the unit calculates very fast. The i3 ships with complete navtech maps with over 6 million points of interest.
After using one for just a little while, it will change your life. Driving is so much safer and less agravating when you know exactly where your going and have plenty of warning before you need to turn. Truly a liberating experience. They should be required by law for safety. Just don't program it while driving. ...
