A pure gem..
Not too many people have ever gotten into Cracker, but The Golden Age is one of the finest albums ever made. Some of the best lyrics ever written are on this album. I agree with everything that the first person who reviewed this ablum said. This was the pinnacle for this band and you can clearly see that they were on top of their class making this splendid gem of music.

ommmmyyy goddd.
From the down low bass tempo to the upbeat tisk tisks, this album makes me want to become king of the remix. K and D do not dissapoint with their selections on this fabulous set. I bought this album in San Francisco for 8 bucks used. Who in their right mind would give up a KandD album for petty cash. Only in frisco. ... -

Let me tell you how much I loathe this band..
0 of 1 Yahoo! Users found this review helpful Seriously! If you are this depressed you should get on medication or get help from a professional. I saw this band for the first time on MTV the other night and could not believe how stupid people can look singing other peoples songs. I decided after about 2 minutes of hearing the lead singer whining and singing about ultra feather lite experiences that the dumb lead the dumb. Also, after about the 3rd song, they all sounded the same. God, please, someone give the lead singer prosac or even demerol so this lamo band does not release another album..

Nothing special.
Most of the re-mixes are really boring on this album. The original songs are better. Such as If God will send his Angels, Lemon, and where the hell are the other good songs? Like Zooropa, Somedays, Ultraviolet (Light my way), New York, Elevation, Peace on Earth and Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses???? The first best of series is way better than this, including the B-sides. Who cares about 3 mixes of Discotheque or Numb?? Save your cash and buy the actual albums. Not too impressed with U2 and their selection.. But Im sure people will just be happy with it because after all it is U2. ... -

One hit wonder????
6 of 11 Yahoo! Users found this review helpfulPros: Some catchy hooks
Cons: Most of the songs suck.. and really only one good song/..
So Im watching MTV2 and the darkness video for I believe in a thing called love comes on and I really enjoy every bit about the song. Catchy guitar riffs, the singer hitting his falsetto's and the catchy attitude the band portrays, like a mix between Queen and Black Sabbath. So I go out the next day and buy the album, and while it was only 11 bucks, their are really only 3 ok songs and 1 really good song. Most of the time you cannot even hear the singer over the guitar work, and some of the lyrics are brain-dead. I should have figured out that this album would be a one hit wonder, when I saw the lead singer wearing a foreigner shirt and the band started talking about grunge music on MTV2.. yawn..zzzzz. Jokes on me.. arggg. Just record 'I believe in a thing called love' and dont buy the album.. im out... ...
